Job Summary

This position is responsible for managing and controlling the sales proposal process to retain and increase group enrollment across HCSC product lines and market segments. The role also provides guidance to ensure alignment with the organization’s strategic vision and business goals.
Manages a professional staff and the development and production of proposals annually in response to Sales and Account Management needs. Oversee, the quality assurance process for all proposals, ensuring that submissions are compelling, compliant, and competitive. Acts as a final quality control checkpoint in a deadline-driven environment.

This is a remote role; candidates must live in one of the following Five states, Illinois, Texas, Oklahoma, Montana, and New Mexico within 250 miles from one of our BCBS offices.

Required Job Qualifications: 

• Bachelor’s degree 5 years’ experience in marketing/benefits administration, proposal development, and insurance operations OR 9 years of experience in marketing/benefits administration, proposal development, and insurance operations.
• 1 year of management or leadership experience.
• 3 years’ experience managing a communications/marketing functions in a deadline-driven environment.
• Knowledge of proposal development methodologies, HCSC product offerings, medical management, customer service, underwriting and financial functions, competitors’ capabilities, and the BCBS System.
• Leadership, communications, analytical, and management skills.
• Ability to manage multiple, conflicting priorities for self and staff.
• Ability to interface with leadership.
• Ability to resolve conflict.

Preferred Job Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in business or health Care Administration.
• Experience and skills with proposal management and automation software such as Responsive, Loopio, and Qvidian.
• APMP certification.

Base Pay Range$88,700.00 - $160,200.00 Apply
