Position Summary:
The Media Distribution & Partnerships team manages relationships with the NBA's domestic content partners and platforms. The group oversees the distribution of NBA, WNBA, NBA G League, NBA 2K League and USA Basketball games and other basketball-related content nationwide. Candidate will play a key role in various strategic projects and multi-disciplinary coordination across internal business lines. Responsibilities will include financial modeling, supporting deal strategy, evaluation of current and proposed partnerships, market intelligence and a broad range of other strategic and financial analysis.

 

Major Responsibilities:

  • Provide financial modeling and quantitative analytical support to evaluate potential opportunities across Media Distribution & Partnerships
  • Perform both ongoing and ad hoc data analyses with the goal of informing business decisions 
  • Coordinate cross-functional teams on select strategic projects, new business opportunities and deal execution  
  • Perform research and maintain market intelligence across diverse categories (e.g., other sports and entertainment media deals, industry trends and competitive landscape) 
  • Develop presentations and other supporting materials/analyses for Senior Management 
  • Communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, to a broad range of internal and external constituents

 

Required Education/Professional Experience:

  • BA/BS degree preferred or relevant equivalent experience
  • Minimum 4-6 years of experience in investment banking, private equity, consulting, or media corporate finance from top-tier company/firm(s) 
  • Experience working and multi-tasking in a dynamic, fast-paced environment

 

Required Skills/Knowledge:

  • Outstanding quantitative, financial, research, modeling and problem-solving skills
  • Strong knowledge of corporate finance 
  • Passion for and knowledge of media landscape, content licensing models and sports content offerings
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Self-starter who can work independently within set objectives
  • Teamwork skills and flexibility
  • The right candidate will be able to explain, and where needed, defend her/his analysis both orally and in writing
  • Strong facility and familiarity with MS Excel, PowerPoint and Word

 

 

 

Salary Range: [[$135,000 - $150,000]]
