Job Summary

The Master Scheduler will play a crucial role in planning, coordinating, and managing the schedule for our training development projects. This individual will collaborate with the leadership team to track progress along all project timelines, allocate resources effectively, and resolve scheduling conflicts. The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively with various teams. This role is full-time and fully remote.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain detailed project schedules, including timelines, milestones, and deliverables.
  • Coordinate with project managers, instructional designers, technical writers, and other team members to ensure project schedules are aligned with overall project milestones.
  • Monitor project progress and adjust schedules as needed to ensure timely completion of deliverables.
  • Raise delays to leadership for communication and change control board review when applicable.
  • Identify potential scheduling conflicts and proactively work to resolve them.
  • Communicate schedule updates and changes to all relevant stakeholders.
  • Use scheduling software (Smartsheet and Microsoft Project) and tools to track project timelines and resource allocation.
  • Prepare regular reports on project status and schedule adherence for senior management.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of project management best practices and processes.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in project management, business administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in project scheduling, preferably within the training or educational development industry.
  • Proficiency in scheduling software (e.g., Microsoft Project, Smartsheet, or similar tools).
  • Strong understanding of project management principles and methodologies.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse teams.
  • Experience in government contracting and familiarity with government project requirements is a plus.
  • PMP (Project Management Professional) or other relevant certifications are highly desirable.

Skills and Experience:

  • Demonstrated experience in creating and managing complex project schedules.
  • Ability to analyze project data and provide insights to improve scheduling efficiency.
  • Proven track record of successfully managing project timelines and meeting deadlines.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to anticipate and mitigate potential issues.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (SharePoint, Teams, Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Experience working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
  • Knowledge of adult learning principles and instructional design process is a plus.

Compensation

  • $80,000 - $105,000 annually
