Job Description:
Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Master Planner to join our team! In this role you would be involved in duties that include military Installation, Community Master Planning, Site and Area Development Planning, Facilities Reuse Planning and Design, Facilities Assessments, Geographic Information Systems (GIS) Mapping and Data Development, Installation Design Guidelines, Range Comprehensive Planning and Design, Environmental Planning, Investment Strategies, and Utility Planning.
What You'll Be Doing:
- Environmental Planning
- Geographic Information Systems (GIS) Mapping and Data DevelopmentSite and Area Development Planning
- The candidate would be responsible for planning, scheduling, conducting, and/or coordinating detailed phases of planning work for a number of large and important projects. Domestic and international travel will be required.
- Developing plans for utilization of land and physical facilities of military installations (Army, Navy, Air Force), applying extensive and diverse knowledge of planning principles and practices in broad areas of assignment.
- Site and Area Development Planning
What Required Skills You'll Bring:
- Candidates for this position must have a planning, engineering, architecture or related degree.
- Ideal candidates will have at least one year of planning experience.
- Ability to demonstrate exceptional communication skills, and be capable of immediate task management responsibilities.
- An understanding of Federal planning processes, programming, and documentation is desired, but not a prerequisite for the position.
- Proficiency with MS Word & Excel and Adobe Acrobat is required
- Technical experience with Adobe Creative Suite products such as InDesign and Illustrator is preferred.
What Desired Skills You'll Bring:
- American Institute of Certified Planners Certification, Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED), and/or other professional certifications are desired.
- Capabilities using , GIS, 3D software such as SketchUp or Revit, AutoCAD, or other graphics development software is a plus.
- Military, Department of Defense, or experience working in/with the Federal Government is desired
