Marketing Specialist (remote in Oregon)

Greater Oregon Behavioral Health, Inc. (GOBHI) has an immediate opening for a full-time Marketing Specialist for their Therapeutic Foster Care team. This key position will be based out of the employee’s home office, which will need to be located within the state of Oregon. 

The Marketing Specialist is responsible for the development and implementation of the Strategic Plan and Operational Guide to recruit qualified foster care families for the GOBHI Treatment Foster Care program.  The Marketing Specialist will assist with continued efforts of foster family retention. 

Essential duties include:

• Develop a Strategic Plan for marketing and outreach to enhance recruitment of foster families.
• Utilize a multi-systemic approach to recruit foster families including but not limited to: advertisements (paid and organic), social media (Facebook, Instagram, Tik Tok), presentations to the community, utilize current foster families for recruiting, develop articles and stories related to foster care placed in news media.
• Implement strategic plan across individual counties and regions at the direction of the Foster Care Management team.
• Implement changes to Strategic Plan as a result of data informed decisions over time.
• Develop Operational Guide for marketing and outreach to enhance recruitment of foster families.
• Support other team members in implementing Strategic Plan and Operational Guide.
• Independently coordinate news media and community events for staff and families.
• Represent GOBHI at events in the community as required.
• Recruit foster families who have the ability and desire to provide foster care to youth referred to Treatment Foster Care Program.
• For the purpose of recruiting foster families, establish and maintain community contacts such as: schools, community organizations, faith based organizations, service groups, other resources as deemed appropriate.
• Share knowledge about the foster care system and foster parent certification process with interested individuals and members of the community.
• Establish positive relationships with prospective families and community partners.
• Support Foster Plus (www.fosterplus.org) goals and objectives, including support of other agencies as requested.
• Drives to meetings or other GOBHI locations as needed.
• Performs other related duties as assigned. 

Requirements

What is needed to succeed in this role:

• Three years’ experience in marketing, Communications, Business, or other related field. 
• Ability to communicate effectively at multiple levels.
• Effectively work with a variety diverse groups of people of all backgrounds and ethnicities. 
• Strong attention to detail, planning and organizational skills.
• Effective presentation skills, including public speaking and meeting facilitation. 
• Technology savvy – proficient using MS and Google Suite software products. 
• Maintains good driving record and required vehicle insurance.
• Education – Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or closely related field.
