The Demand Generation Manager is a member of the Demand Generation team, responsible to drive demand and pipeline within the Sherweb existing partner base and across the broader market. This position interfaces directly with Marketing, Sales, and Product teams to develop integrated omni-channel campaigns & initiatives across multiple channels including: digital advertising, paid media, webinars and virtual events, email marketing automation, and others.

Reporting to the Senior Manager, Demand Generation, the ideal candidate will be able to manage the full demand generation lifecycle, from strategy to execution, including some writing and content creation. This means you can define the campaign strategy, design the campaign journey, and write/execute/implement most of the campaign by yourself (with support from in-house or outsourced technical resources such as designers, developers, and video editors).

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Leverage and translate broader GTM strategy into tactical campaigns and initiatives in close collaboration with various teams including product, sales, product marketing, and creative.
  • Creation and execution of demand gen campaigns across the funnel, focusing on both revenue expansion within our partner base and acquisition of new accounts.
  • Reporting on performance of campaigns and demand generation activities
  • Own local CRM lead routing and management process for marketing-generated leads
  • Balance lead volume and quality to achieve a return on Marketing spend and meet budget
  • Leverage social media to enhance campaign results and increase visibility.
  • Set tracking mechanisms to measure and report on performance of your programs.
  • Drive collaboration with Sales, Marketing, and Product leaders to align on business priorities.
  • Manage outside contractors or agencies as needed.
  • Utilize marketing automation tools to streamline campaign execution and tracking.
  • Implementation of ABM campaigns targeting strategic accounts.
  • Writing email copy, ad copy, and other copy for your campaigns.

 

Expectations of a Demand Generation Manager: A Demand Gen Manager is expected to have detailed understanding of demand generation with experience running campaigns in most B2B channels.

  • Experience Level: You are expected to have a detailed understanding of demand generation with a healthy foundation of experience covering all the major B2B channels, plus some niche ones.
  • Responsibility Scope: Responsible for Demand Gen campaigns and initiatives at Sherweb with accountability for GTM and campaign performance. This is a individual contributor role that is responsible for tactics and execution (with a bit of strategy as well).
  • Decision-Making Authority: The Demand Generation Manager has decision-making authority over their campaigns and initiatives (with exceptions including budget and messaging strategy), and ensuring alignment with broader strategies, plans, and GTM’s.
  • Autonomy/Supervision: The Demand Generation Manager is expected to work independently and lead campaigns and demand gen initiatives with limited supervision, moderately high levels of independence, and occasional support needed for escalations. You would be expected to manage relationships, manage up, and know when to leverage your leaders for best impact.

 

Qualifications:

  • University degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Communication, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3-4 years of dedicated demand gen experience in the B2B tech or SaaS industry with additional professional experience in marketing or related field (channel / MSP / Microsoft industry experience an asset).
  • Flawless oral and written communication abilities in English (French an asset).
  • Experience running campaigns for Quebec and North American markets.
  • Successful track record in driving demand generation and opportunity acceleration, including ABM experience.

  • Ability to work cross-functionally and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Strong analytical skills and experience with CRM, ABM, and marketing automation platforms.

Reasons for the requirement of English: Sherweb has international customers and fluency in English is the only way to ensure proper service delivery to them. The main tasks related to this position require written and oral communication with an English-speaking clientele at all times.
