About the role:
As a Market Specialist in our Capital Markets Sales Growth Office, you’ll be part of a team of self-motivated, high achieving industry experts helping to grow our business by aligning FIS solutions with industry trends in our target markets. By providing strategic insights to our diverse team and client base, you’ll play a critical role in advancing FIS role as a leading provider of solutions for money at rest, money in motion and money at work.


About the team:

What you will be doing:

• Position and help sell market leading FIS solutions that solve strategic business problems for asset managers, brokers, insurance firms, and lenders.

• Demonstrate knowledge of the capital markets industry, institutional and retail financial products, and competitive solution providers, producing industry thought leadership for use inside and outside FIS.

• Identify new market opportunities for FIS solutions aligned with industry trends that drive spending patterns at existing clients and new prospects.

• Prepare and present industry trends and relevant groupings of FIS solutions to clients and prospects.

• Build and qualify new pipeline opportunities consistently, meeting with clients and prospects as part of the FIS pursuit team.

• Solicit and maintain professional network to cultivate new sales leads.

• Collaborate with FIS strategy, product, business, commercial, GTM, pre-sales and sales colleagues.

• Attend and present at industry events to share industry trends and points of view.


What you will need:

• Minimum of 10 years of experience in capital markets industry sales, consulting, product, operations and/or technology.

• Knowledge of market structure, financial products, regulations, and competing solution providers.

• Disciplined and self-motivated individual with proven track record of exceeding sales quota or similar quantitative performance metrics.

• Must have prior experience establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with all levels of management (internally/externally), employees, clients, and public.

• Prior experience using LinkedIn and other professional social media tools to share thought leadership, maintain professional network and develop new sales leads.

• Solid understanding of the typical financial services software sales lifecycle.

• Working knowledge of PowerPoint, MS Excel, Microsoft Dynamics or Salesforce.com

• Bachelor’s degree or the equivalent combination of education, training, or work experience.

• Travel is required for FIS team events and client/prospect meetings.

• Regulatory licensing or other similar certifications

• Established track record of involvement in capital markets industry trade groups.

FIS is committed to providing its employees with an exciting career opportunity and competitive compensation. The pay range for this full-time position is $136,600.00 - $225,400.00 and reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for this position based on the posted role, level, and location. Within the range, actual individual starting pay is determined additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Any changes in work location will also impact actual individual starting pay. Please consult with your recruiter about the specific salary range for your preferred location during the hiring process.
