Milliman’s Milwaukee-based property and casualty practice is a leading expert in evaluating mortgage collateral for government agencies, mortgage lenders, insurers, reinsurers, and investors. Our consulting work is supported by a powerful toolkit of data analytics solutions informed by years of in-depth work in the mortgage industry.

What You Will Do

This practice is expanding its capabilities to include expertise in mortgage banking and secondary markets. The leaders of this new profit center will leverage relationships with mortgage companies to identify compelling products and services to support their business strategies. The Managing Director will cultivate the active client pipeline, generate new business, and oversee execution of the work.

Responsibilities include:

  • Manage products, marketing, sales, fulfillment and clients.
  • Lead and develop high-performing teams. Oversee the work of analysts, data scientists, project managers, and sales associates, fostering a collaborative and innovative environment.
  • Manage budgets and resources. Oversee the allocation and utilization of resources, including budgets, personnel, and technology, to ensure efficient and effective operations.
  • Develop and implement analytical solutions. Work closely with clients to understand their needs and develop solutions that meet their specific requirements. Lead the design, development, and deployment of advanced analytical models, tools, and products.
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships. Cultivate and manage relationships with key stakeholders, including business leaders, executives, and clients, to understand their needs and deliver impactful solutions.

 

What We Are Looking For

Required Professional Qualifications

  • 15+ years of professional experience in the mortgage industry
  • 3+ years in client-facing, consultative roles
  • 5+ years managing a profit center
  • Experience managing a team of analysts and data scientists
  • Extensive knowledge of Microsoft products including Excel and PowerPoint, in a PC / Windows environment

Personal Qualifications

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong client relationship-building skills
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree (or higher) in Business, Economics, or related field

Location

This position is based out of the Milliman office in Brookfield, WI, but candidates hired into this role may work remotely anywhere in the U.S., with some nationwide travel required.

 

Compensation

The remote salary range for this position is $211,000 to $442,000, depending on a combination of factors, including, but not limited to, education, relevant work experience, qualifications, skills, certifications, location, etc.
