Manager, Tax Controversy

Job Description:

Responsible for helping the tax controversy function to reduce tax liabilities, optimize tax impacts to cash flow, and report timely and accurately. Includes specialized functions of tax audit support and quarterly financial reporting, among other responsibilities.

Essential Job Functions:

• Manage controversy-related quarterly deliverables in a timely and accurate manner, including liaising with Internal Audit

• Support federal tax audits and controversies

• Handle or support state and local tax income tax audits and controversies

• Support third party tax indemnity claims

• Support corporate good standing initiative

• Handle ad hoc projects as assigned

• Stay updated on changes in tax laws, regulations, and rulings.
• Maintain organized tax records, documentation, and filing systems.

Basic Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a relevant field, or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Typically, 7+ years of relevant work experience in industry, with a minimum of 3 years in a similar role in tax management
• Proven experience in tax roles such as controversy or compliance
• Proficiency in tax research
• A continuous learner who stays abreast with industry knowledge and technology

Other Qualifications:

• CPA certification is a plus

• Advanced degree in Finance or Taxation is a plus

Compensation at DXC is influenced by an array of factors, including but not limited to the experience, job-related knowledge, skills, competencies, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. A reasonable estimate of the current compensation range for this position is $91,400 - $169,700.
