- Sales Deal Review: Lead the review of sales deals and ensure that commissions are calculated according to the company’s policy.
- Commission Calculation & Approval: Oversee and approve the calculation of sales commissions, ensuring accuracy and alignment with company plans and policies.
- Commission Plan Management: Develop, implement, and manage multiple commission plans, ensuring transparency and clear communication across the organization.
- General Ledger Accounting and Reconciliation: Manage and reconcile the general ledger, ensuring the integrity of financial data. Understanding of relevant accounting standards is advantageous.
- Issue Resolution: Proactively identify and resolve any commission-related issues or discrepancies, working closely with internal teams to ensure smooth processes.
- Team Leadership: Manage and mentor a team responsible for commission processing, ensuring timely and accurate execution of tasks.
- Audit Support: Serve as the point of contact for internal and external audits related to commissions, providing necessary documentation and data as needed.
- Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with the finance, HR, and sales teams to ensure the integrity of commission payments and reporting.
- Process Optimization: Continuously evaluate and enhance commission processes, identifying areas for improvement in calculation, reporting, and reconciliation.
- Bachelor's or master’s degree in accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field.
- Minimum 12 years of experience in compensation, finance, or sales operations roles, with at least 3-5 years in managerial capacity.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and sales compensation plans.
- Advanced proficiency in Excel, experience with software tools like Exactly and ERP accounting systems.
- Familiarity with commission tracking systems and audit processes.
- Proven ability to manage and develop a high-performing team.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to manage complex commission structures.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively across departments and leadership levels.
- Experience managing commission programs in large organizations with complex sales structures.
- Prior experience supporting and managing audit processes.
- Knowledge of industry best practices for sales compensation.
- Willingness and ability to pick up new stuff with good attitude
The base salary compensation range targeted for this role is $122,500 - $175,950, with an opportunity to earn an annual bonus or commission (subject to terms and conditions of the plan). This salary range is an estimate, and the actual salary may vary based on the Company’s compensation practices.
