Manager, Provider Communications
Remote CA - R1
Develop and maintain consistent approaches to managing corporate and cross line of business project communication needs to multiple audiences
Lead the development and review of communication plans and related materials as part of integrated communications to key multiple stakeholder audiences, ultimately supporting brand awareness, sales growth and retention, and overall support for corporate projects
Ensure brand is reflected in communication plan tactics and key messaging; ensure project-related copy is written following brand copy guidelines
Lead day-to-day operations in areas including social media, leadership, cause marketing, and line of business-specific communication needs
Assist in developing integrated messaging for projects and manage overall cross line of business communications
Stay current with new technology and marketing tools
Consults with internal and external partners in order to project the corporate message to both external and internal audiences through social media channels
Oversee the analysis of responses to social media activities and make recommendations
Represents the company message to online communities, media, analysts, and the general public at large
Advise senior management on development of communications policies and programs
Assist in the development of the department budget and monitor unit expenses to ensure unit costs are within established levels
Ensure effective communications are maintained within the unit and externally. Where appropriate, inform employees as to plans and progress. Conduct employee discussion sessions at regular intervals
Job Specifications
Typically has the following skills or abilities:
Bachelor’s degree in related field or equivalent experience
Minimum of 3 years of management experience with responsibilities for hiring, training, assigning work, and managing performance of direct reports
Excellent oral and written communication skills as demonstrated by a portfolio of work examples and completed projects
Demonstrated creativity and knowledge of community and industry resources and opportunities
Proficient with word processing, spreadsheet, and desktop publishing applications
Preferred Skills
Ability to manage a diverse team responsible for crafting, aligning, and executing internal and external communications strategies with a primary focus on the provider audience
Ability to evolve and champion the company’s overarching doctor narrative
Ability to lead and at times manage communications strategy and execution for high-profile, high-risk corporate announcements
Ability to collaborate cross-functionally with executive leadership and cross-functional business partners to align communication strategies with business objectives and represent the provider audience as part of an enterprise-wide integrated doctor strategy
Ability to serve as communication strategist and consult with enterprise and division partners, and effectively mitigate risks during high-pressure situations

Compensation range for the role is listed below. Applicable salary ranges may differ across markets. Actual pay will be determined based on experience and other job-related factors permitted by law.
