The OpportunityAbout our Project Management Office team: Flock Safety’s Project Management Office (PMO) is a service and learning organization created for the specific purpose of supporting Flock’s customer delivery objectives by establishing a foundation for consistent and disciplined project success throughout the organization. The PMO is charged with facilitating the planning and execution of Flock’s suite of products through clear communication and coordination with customers to meet their needs. They are the nucleus of the internal coordination between Flock’s diverse team of stakeholders to ensure the products are installed at the right place, with the right equipment, as quickly as possible. The Project Managers exemplify our core value, Do the Work, by providing customers with the incredible products Flock creates to Eliminate Crime quickly and with fantastic customer service throughout the customer’s journey.
As a Manager, Project Management in the PMO you’ll be responsible for a team of Project Managers who are responsible for all facets of product installation after the sale is complete. You’re expected to initially be a player/coach and subsequently will manage your own book of business and projects. After building a foundation of knowledge, you will transition into a full-time coach leading your respective team. You will provide guidance, training, support, and mentorship for PMs while helping them grow and develop into top performing Project Managers within the organization. You will serve as an escalation point for cross-functional teams within Flock to prevent and eliminate roadblocks.
Maintain a portfolio of ~100-150+ customers and projects, each with their own unique permitting and product requirements, each at different phases of the customer journey.
Develop staff of Project Managers (providing coaching, development opportunities, growth plans, etc.)
Identify areas for process improvement and roll out new processes to improve PM efficiency and performance
Lead and manage cross-functional teams and external partners to achieve project goals, while fostering collaboration, obtaining necessary buy-in, and keeping all internal and external stakeholders informed.
Demonstrate agility and innovative thinking to swiftly identify and implement creative solutions for various project challenges and obstacles.
Possess excellent communication skills, effectively managing customer experiences and resolving issues with a focus on de-escalation and customer satisfaction.
Utilize data driven approaches, leveraging performance dashboards and analytics to track and monitor project performance, making data-backed decisions and recommendations.
Work closely with stakeholders to define the vision, scope, and delivery timelines for project deliverables.
Optimize team processes, assist in project effectiveness work, and manage project reporting/KPI data.
Allocate resources across projects and initiatives; partnering with other teams to effectively manage resource requests.
Act as a strategic thought partner for teams across the company as an expert in the operations of our business.
6-8 years of operational and project management experience, including comprehensive experience collaborating across business units and customers.
3-5 years of people leadership experience, preferably in a project management setting - demonstrated ability to lead and manage a small team, providing guidance, support, and mentorship to drive individual and collective success.
Ability to work strategically in a fast-paced, hyper growth environment, under tight deadlines, while managing multiple ongoing priorities
Proficient in working cross-functionally to address complex projects to meet organization’s goals - understand the importance of communication and inclusion of appropriate stakeholders and can get the “right people in the room.”
Exceptional customer service mindset, with a commitment to delivering high-quality service and ensuring customer satisfaction throughout the project lifecycle.
Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills, with the ability to navigate complex situations and make sound judgments.
Excellent organizational and time management abilities, capable of prioritizing tasks, managing multiple projects simultaneously, and meeting deadlines.
Demonstrated leadership qualities, including the ability to motivate and inspire your team, foster a positive work culture, and drive performance excellence.

Preferred Qualifications
PMP, Agile, Six Sigma or other Project & Change Management certifications (e.g. CAPM, PROSCI, etc.).
Successful background managing a large portfolio of customer projects.
Proficiency in Salesforce. Specifically managing cases and opportunities, internal communications, and building/analyzing reports.

The Technical Assessment: Our technical assessments seek to test the hard skills required to do the job. Engineers may find themselves in coding interviews or architecture discussions, sales roles may present mock discovery calls, and leadership roles may craft 90 day plans. Your recruiter will inform you of which assessment you will be assigned and ensure you are fully prepared for your big day.
The Panel: Learn more about the team, responsibilities, and workflows. You should be prepared to speak about past projects, how you collaborate and communicate with others, and how you live our values. Depending on the team and role you are interviewing for, you may meet with several teammates as well as cross-functional partners.
The Executive Review: A chance to meet an executive and view Flock from a different lens. Be prepared to ask well-thought-out questions about the company, culture, and more.
In this role, you’ll receive a starting salary between $130,000 and $178,000 as well as Flock Safety Stock Options. Base salary is determined by job-related experience, education/training, as well as market indicators. Your recruiter will discuss this in-depth with you during our first chat.
