Job Description

A bit more about this role:

As the Manager of Population Health, you’ll be at the intersection of strategy, analytics, and execution—identifying opportunities to improve clinical outcomes, designing and scaling interventions, and tracking performance to drive impact. You’ll partner with clinical, operations, and technology teams to test and implement solutions in a fast-paced environment, always iterating to get to the best outcome.

This role is for someone who thrives in ambiguity, enjoys tackling complex problems with data, and has a builder mindset—thinking creatively about new ways to drive impact. You’ll report to the Director of Population Health and play a key role in shaping how we improve care for our members.

Key questions you’ll tackle:

  • Are we on track to meet our clinical quality and care outcomes? What real-time signals can we use to adjust strategy?

  • How do different interventions compare in their success at closing care gaps?

  • How can we reimagine workflows and processes to scale impact faster?

Examples of the work you’ll drive:

  • Building + optimizing clinical interventions—Designing, launching, and refining programs like:

    • Post-fracture care pathways for members who’ve been hospitalized

    • Multi-channel engagement strategies to boost cancer screening rates

    • Dynamic workflows that adapt based on a member’s care journey and the capabilities of our team

  • Analyzing + iterating fast—Diving into data to uncover insights, test hypotheses, and pivot quickly based on results.

  • Driving execution + scaling impact—Working across teams to move ideas from concept to implementation, measuring results, and refining as we grow.

Key attributes of success:

  • You thrive in fast-paced, ever-evolving environments. You’re excited by ambiguity and see it as an opportunity to build.

  • You’re deeply analytical. You use data to uncover insights, validate ideas, and drive decision-making. SQL, Looker, or other analytical tools are a plus.

  • You’re a structured problem solver. You break down complex challenges into actionable steps and own execution from start to finish.

  • You move fast and get things done. You’re proactive, take ownership, and are always looking for ways to optimize and improve.

  • You’re a strong communicator. You can clearly explain your thinking, bring stakeholders along, and drive alignment across teams.

  • You collaborate across disciplines. You’re comfortable working with engineers, clinicians, data scientists, and operators to build and scale solutions.

Desired skills and experience

  • Work experience in highly analytical environments, preferably in healthcare or demonstrated interest in the area and a track record of learning about new industries (such as in consulting).

  • Two or more years of proven success in an operations, management, or consulting role.

  • Demonstrated excellence in data-driven work. Proficient in Excel/Google Sheets. The ability to self-serve data with SQL queries and/or Looker is a plus.

Why you will love this role:

This is a unique opportunity to tackle high-impact challenges in healthcare while working in a startup-like environment with a mission-driven team. You’ll have the chance to own meaningful work, test new ideas, and drive results at scale.

If you’re energized by solving complex problems, building new solutions, and working in a dynamic, high-growth company—Devoted Health might be the place for you.
