Job Description

We’re seeking a Manager, Population Health Analytics to join our Georgia Population Health team, enabling physician leaders to make data driven decisions on financial, operational, and clinical opportunities. This person will be responsible for developing analyses, reports, models, and presentations for internal stakeholders as well as owners of Privia Medical Group practices.

Primary Job Duties:

  • Work closely with the Population Health, Quality, and Risk Adjustment teams to understand their evolving information needs, and plan and execute on analytics strategies and solutions that are in alignment with those needs.
  • Create and maintain reporting capabilities within the market, leveraging Privia’s national Analytics resources, to assist in the creation of presentations within the market for providers and other key stakeholders.
  • Attend and present at the POD (Physician Organized Delivery) meetings to review data on Quality measures, including HEDIS (Healthcare Effectiveness Data and Information Set) and Medicare Advantage Stars, utilization data and financial data.
  • Assist in the preparation of POD decks by pulling the data from multiple sources including the data warehouse, payer portals, reports from payers, and any other applicable sources; calculating rates on key measures.
  • Track and trend performance across multiple payers on key quality measures at the Market, POD, Care Center (practice), and individual Provider levels.
  • Analyze the market’s effectiveness executing against Privia’s population health strategies under value-based contracts and alternative payment models.
  • Assist with improvements in data integration to assist Value-Based Care (VBC) operations (ADT, clinical results, and other medical chart level data).
  • Utilize structured analytical thinking to synthesize valuable insights and present findings to physician executives, market presidents, the market’s AVP of Population Health and the population health team, and operations consultants.
  • Develop reporting and insights to improve physician satisfaction and patient experience.
  • Work with Privia’s National Product Team to create additional data feeds as new needs arise.
  • Work with Privia’s National Analytics team to continually improve reporting and analytics.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, operations, finance, STEM preferred or related field or equivalent experience
  • 4+ years’ experience in healthcare analytics or other forms of analytics
  • Experience optimizing the performance of a healthcare organization, or similar experience
  • Ability to think critically, applying analytical frameworks to complex business problems to synthesize insights
  • Able to remain flexible and responsive in fluid situations with simultaneous projects and appropriately prioritize 
  • Ability to establish and maintain collaborative relationships in high-pressure, fast-moving matrixed environments and motivate others to action
  • Experience with or desire to learn Quality measures, including Medicare Advantage Stars and HEDIS measures
  • Excellent presentation skills with the ability to tailor the communication style to the audience, including analytics professionals, senior business leaders, physicians, and practice managers
  • Advanced skills using Microsoft Excel
  • Experience preparing and delivering presentations using Microsoft’s PowerPoint and other presentation software 
  • Experience using SQL in large relational databases to query and cleanse data
  • Experience analyzing large amounts of data to derive root causes and/or areas of concern 
  • Experience creating reports through BI tools, such as Tableau, Microstrategy, QlikView, and/or Looker preferred
  • Experience with Athena’s HER preferred
  • Experience using Python or R to analyze large datasets preferred
  • Ability to travel to the Georgia market for meetings with the Population Health team and occasionally, some of the practices 10%-15% of the time
  • Must comply with HIPAA rules and regulations 

The salary range for this role is $104,800.00-$120,000.00 in base pay and exclusive of any bonuses or benefits. This role is also eligible for a comission based incentive plan and restricted stock units. The base pay offered will be determined based on relevant factors such as experience, education, and geographic location.
