Responsibilities/Skills/Experience Requirements
JOB DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Serves as a trusted advisor to In-Home Technicians on HR-related matters, providing guidance on conflict resolution, performance management, and other employee concerns
- Acts as the California compliance expert, owning all California-specific processes and requirements, and ensuring knowledge, processes, and reporting are in place company-wide
- Works closely with Payroll, Compliance, Legal, and HR Business Partners (HRBPs) to ensure compliance with California labor laws and to address new legislative changes effectively
- Collaborates with Asset & Profit Protection (APP) regarding compliance with California OSHA requirements
- Ensures compliance with California labor laws, including but not limited to wage and hour regulations, meal and rest breaks, leaves of absence, and workers' compensation
- Leads change management efforts for HR initiatives, ensuring effective communication and adoption of new practices across the technician population
- Develops and delivers training programs on California-specific HR policies and practices, ensuring managers, HRBPs, and employees are well-informed of relevant laws and company policies
- Collaborates with In-Home leadership to understand workforce needs and implement initiatives to drive employee engagement, increase retention, and promote a positive work culture
- Tracks and analyzes key HR metrics, such as turnover and employee satisfaction, to drive data-informed decisions and continuous improvement
- Supports managers in delivering effective performance feedback and managing employee performance issues
Bachelors Degree
5-10 years of related experience
18 years of age or older

REQUIRED SKILLS:
- Bachelor s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field
- Minimum of 5 years of HR experience, with a strong focus on California labor law compliance and employee relations
- In-depth knowledge of California employment regulations, including wage and hour laws, leaves of absence, workers' compensation, and safety requirements
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills with the ability to effectively interact with employees at all levels
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to handle complex employee relations issues with discretion and sensitivity
- Candidate must reside in California
- Proven experience in conflict resolution, performance management, and change management
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
- HR certification (PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP)
- Proficiency in Workday
