Executive Summary:

The Manager of Tooling, Infrastructure and Platform (TIP) and IT Service Desk (ISD) will spearhead the organization’s cloud engineering, DevOps, and internal IT service desk operations. With a strong background in cloud engineering and leadership (minimum 10 years of experience with 3-5 years in a managerial role), the Manager will oversee cloud governance, modernization efforts, and ensure scalable, secure, and cost-efficient cloud environments. Key responsibilities include developing and implementing a strategic cloud strategy, mentoring and managing teams, driving continuous improvement, and ensuring compliance with industry standards. The role demands advanced technical expertise in cloud management, IaC tools, and disaster recovery, alongside excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • At least 10 years in cloud engineering or related roles, with a minimum of 3-5 years in leadership and team management.
  • Proven experience in creating and executing cloud governance policies, processes, and best practices.
  • Expertise in cloud management, cloud evolution, and oversight.
  • Skilled in cost optimization, budget forecasting, and financial management.
  • Familiarity with Agile methodologies, DevOps/CICD best practices, and tools such as ArgoCD, Crossplane, GitHub Actions, Kubernetes and Docker.
  • Proficient in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools, preferably Terraform.
  • Strong understanding of disaster recovery and business continuity principles.
  • Hands-on experience in senior cloud engineering or architecture roles.
  • Deep knowledge of cloud infrastructure, managed services, networking, and security.
  • Advanced programming skills in languages like Python, JavaScript, or Go.
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities for complex cloud issues.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to lead and collaborate with cross-functional teams effectively.
  • Demonstrated capability to manage multiple tasks and priorities.
  • Proactive in driving continuous improvement and innovation.

  • Advocate for Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools and DevOps practices for automation and management.
  • Monitor cloud infrastructure for optimal performance, availability, and cost efficiency.
  • Implement cost-saving strategies through effective cloud resource management and budget oversight.
  • Ensure cloud environments comply with industry standards, best practices, and regulatory requirements.
  • Establish and enforce robust security measures to safeguard cloud infrastructure and data.
  • Lead initiatives for cloud evolution and modernization of existing workloads and applications.
  • Collaborate with development, compliance/security, and business teams to achieve shared goals.
  • Provide high-level technical support and oversight for cloud-related issues.
  • Promote knowledge sharing on cloud technologies and best practices across the organization.

Salary: $180K - $200K
