We are looking for a pragmatic and driven Manager of Mobile Engineering at Teamworks. You will guide and mentor a team of engineers, driving the development of a unified mobile ecosystem. You will oversee the integration of multiple existing mobile applications—like AMS, Nutrition, and Strength—into a cohesive, scalable, and high-performance platform. Leveraging your expertise in React Native, you will ensure technical excellence and alignment with strategic goals.


In this role, you will manage the building and integration of applications, fostering cross-functional collaboration to deliver a seamless user experience. Your leadership will directly impact how world-class athletic organizations interact with our cutting-edge mobile products.


Responsibilities:

  • Lead and maintain a high-performing engineering culture, fostering innovation and professional growth.
  • Oversee development of shared code (themes, authentication, host apps) and cross-product features.
  • Drive high-quality delivery of React Native applications.
  • Manage performance optimizations, migrations, and maintenance of apps.
  • Conduct design/code reviews and champion best practices.
  • Develop and execute the mobile engineering strategy in collaboration with senior leadership.
  • Ensure timely delivery of mobile projects while managing resource allocation and balancing priorities.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams and Product Management to align engineering initiatives with product roadmaps.


Requirements:

  • 5+ years of professional experience in mobile development, with at least 3 years dedicated to React Native.
  • Proven track record of managing and mentoring high-performing engineering teams.
  • Expertise in designing and implementing scalable mobile app architectures
  • Advanced knowledge of modern React and React Native best practices
  • Proficiency in TypeScript, with a deep understanding of automated testing frameworks and CI/CD pipelines for mobile development.
  • Strong leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills to navigate technical and organizational challenges effectively.
