Manager, IT Product Management (Remote based in the US)

JOB SUMMARY
The Manager will be responsible for overseeing projects and operational initiatives with technology driven solutions. They will review and approve documented requirements to solve key business challenges, working both independently and cross functionally across IT and operational departments. They will lead competitive research, analysis of data, define and work with other members on team to provide estimates for features as directed. They will provide status updates to respective stakeholders throughout the life cycle of the project, oversee/signoff on functional and integration testing, and post implementation monitoring.
The successful candidate will lead a small team of analysts and be responsible for the team’s work product.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Take Product Ownership for the assigned product area via product roadmaps and cross-functionally drive development and launch of the product from concept to delivery
- Establish effective relationships with key stakeholders (eg.operations, implementation, business analytics, engineering) to streamline process of gathering requirements /ideas/inputs and manage their priorities and expectations
- Define epics and user stories, clearly articulating business requirements for the problems we’re trying to solve - including UX/CX/Support requirements along with ROI models for metrics being targeted
- Design Prototypes and Proof of Concepts to ensure proper feedback will be received
- Write detailed Product, Functionality and Business requirement documents
- Help to remove obstacles to development teams for effective and efficient product delivery
- Review test plans with software quality assurance team and take ownership of product quality
- Represent the customer for assigned product area, demonstrating responsibility for taking delivery of the product, implementation of end-to-end customer journey, touchpoints and outcome
- Determine operational objectives by studying business functions; gathering information;
- evaluating output requirements and formats
- Design new software systems / processes by analyzing requirements; constructing workflow charts and
- diagrams; studying system capabilities; writing specifications
- Develop communications documents [Project status, project milestones, Notification, Training guide, user-manuals etc]
- Develop and deliver progress reports, proposals, requirements documentation, and presentations such as System Approaches, Outline high-level flow, Release notes etc.
- Act as conduit between the business / client teams and development teams to ensure proper flow of communication and resolution of any gaps of information & understanding
- Support testing team in understanding system requirements, defining testing objectives and participate in functional testing.
- Conduct user training sessions and support client teams during acceptance testing.
