As our HIM Manager, you will be responsible for the data integrity operations of the Enterprise Master Patient Index. Every day you will facilitates all opportunities to further the positive impact that an effectively managed EMPI has on patient care, i.e., ensuring the integrity of patient data and linking healthcare information across the continuum of care. To thrive in this role, you’ll need an active RHIA or RHIT certification, coupled with your proficiency in Health Information Management, which will keep you at the forefront of developments in the HIM domain.
Here’s What You Can Expect:
Manages all day-to-day EMPI data integrity operations.
Manages the Data Integrity Coordinators and Data Stewards including hiring, scheduling, payroll, performance evaluations, etc.
Develops and implements organizational-wide data stewardship/integrity policy and procedures.
Monitors organizational-wide performance and production metrics.
Develops, implements and monitors system-wide EMPI Quality Program.
Reports all application data integrity issues as appropriate to ensure remediation.
Escalates the inconsistent capturing of key demographic data elements per source application.
Provides education and training on data integrity standards.
Acts as a subject matter expert and advisor in EMPI data integrity operations.
Actively collaborates with information technologies on application(s) stability including upgrade testing, implementations, and general maintenance.
Ensures adherence to all identify theft programs.
Required qualifications:
5-10 years of experience in Health Information Management and leadership.
Knowledge of HIM Operations and previous work experience with Information Technology Systems.
Prior experience in EMPI data integrity operations preferred.
Strong understanding of system architecture, infrastructure, integration and databases.
Microsoft Office Products experience.
