Basic Purpose and Objective of the Position:
This position will be responsible for leading the Reinsurance Cession Team, which is responsible for monthly close, reconciliations, settlements, and reporting for our reinsurance clients. The position has 6 direct reports and is expected to ensure accuracy, efficient processes, strive for continuous improvement, and align lines of business gained via acquisitions. The candidate must have strong communication and collaboration skills as the position requires frequent interaction with cross functional teams and high profile external clients. The position is also expected to guide and mentor team employees.

Responsibilities
- Leading, Coaching, and Mentoring/Training Employees. Prioritize team tasks.
- Define and implement process improvements amongst the team
- Review work completed by team members
- Assist on inquiries/report requests/general questions from internal and external customers
- Lead projects with impacts to cession team
Qualifications/Education
- Accounting or Finance Degree Required
- At least 5 years of accounting experience
- Proven track record of process improvements required
- Leadership skills required
- Insurance / reinsurance experience is preferred
