The Opportunity:

The Manager of Fraud Controls will oversee the various systems where fraud & abuse can occur. This leader is expected to partner across business units providing reporting, analysis, and proposals that mitigate loss to the company. This leader is expected to lead projects that positively impact controls on fraudulent behavior in ecommerce & retail. As a member of Fraud leadership, you will be expected to work strategically with Asset Protection, Alternate Payments, Engineering, Analytics, Legal, and Law Enforcement as the primary contact for Fraud activity within Sephora. You will review new initiatives within Sephora retail & ecommerce ensuring that Fraud controls are considered and where appropriate incorporated.  This leader must work closely within their direct team to develop skills, quality deliverables, clear communication, and program execution while meeting key deadlines.

 

  • Analyze activity across Enterprise for increases that may indicate abuse or fraud, providing high-level summary to leadership
  • Oversee a suite of reporting that constantly monitors the business for potential loss or targeted actions that effect Clients, Client Experience, Loyalty, Sephora.com, or other Sephora systems
  • Oversee continuous auditing of sensitive transactions and applications with financial impact to ensure use is appropriate, provide routine reporting across business units, and escalate any use outside aligned purpose
  • Develop team and provide opportunities for exposure to new initiatives, ideas, or other areas of growth
  • Partner with business units throughout the organization proactively identify negative impact of new or ongoing initiatives and implement reporting to track activity
  • Proactive business partner across the enterprise providing expertise on enhancing controls to prevent exposure to fraud & abuse
  • Primary contact for any external sales partners, Marketplaces, Delivery Partners, and joint venture

 

We'd love to hear from you if you have...

  • 5+ years Fraud, Chargeback Remediation, SOC, Investigations Center
  • 2+ years Large retailer ecommerce operations
  • SQL or other database querying experience
  • Track record of managing complex problem solving
  • Prior experience working with Federal agencies and State law enforcement
  • Ability to run micro (i.e., client level sampling for manual research/lookup) as well as macro level queries to model/ forecast business impacts.
  • Prior experience managing a team
  • Prior experience auditing financial data or financial systems
  • PowerBI/ThoughtSpot/Tableau report builder experience
  • AI / ML fraud modeling
  • Payments (traditional and alternate) processing and infrastructure knowledge

The annual base salary range for this position is $96,390.00 - $128,250.00 The actual base salary offered depends on a variety of factors, which may include, as applicable, the applicant’s qualifications for the position; years of relevant experience; specific and unique skills; level of education attained; certifications or other professional licenses held; other legitimate, non-discriminatory business factors specific to the position; and the geographic location in which the applicant lives and/or from which they will perform the job.  Individuals employed in this position may also be eligible to earn bonuses.  Sephora offers a generous benefits package to full-time employees, which includes comprehensive health, dental and vision plans; a superior 401(k) plan, various paid time off programs; employee discount/perks; life insurance; disability insurance; flexible spending accounts; and an employee referral bonus program.
