THE ROLE
Thrive Market is looking for a proactive and hands-on Finance Manager to oversee our Marketing spend and partner with the business units to optimize  spend relative to our Customer Lifetime Value. As the Finance partner to the CMO and Marketing leadership, you will analyze historical Marketing ROI and leverage predictive models to help drive strategy changes in real time in a highly dynamic environment. This role will be responsible for ensuring we are driving profitable member growth within a LTV/CAC framework which is critical to the long term success at Thrive. You will work on the reporting and analysis of growth campaigns, spend by categories and channels, media versus acquisition discount spend, and drivers of high quality members. You will be responsible for creating and maintaining a customer quality scorecard that allows the Marketing team to quickly see results on the effectiveness of our member acquisition campaigns. This role will also frequently perform ad-hoc financial analysis and build financial models that are critical to making the best strategic decisions based on data-driven insights that may fuel top line growth and drive margin expansion.
You will serve as the primary finance business partner to the CMO and Marketing team but this role will involve frequent cross functional interactions to ensure a wide and deep understanding of each driver. We are looking for a candidate with strong analytical skills and proven leadership experience to join our Finance team. Our ideal candidate is:

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Establish and maintain active and effective communication and relationships with cross functional partners on the Marketing team and executives
  • Evaluate and drive membership growth and marketing efficiency by establishing CPA and LTV targets, monitoring weekly performance, and provide data driven insights to help optimize marketing spend
  • Evaluate and monitor spend across various acquisition channels (Meta, YouTube, Podcasts, etc.) as well as member engagement and conversion rates across channels
  • Track historical and forecast forward looking Customer Lifetime Value by partnering with Marketing and Data Science teams and assure we are providing highly accurate projections and adhering to a framework that sustains profitable growth
  • Evaluate CRM campaigns and effectiveness on driving incremental sales
  • Assist in evaluating A/B tests that impact the member acquisition funnel and first order conversion to help drive incremental LTV
  • Assist in the development and monitoring of customer segments and partner with the Marketing team to understand effective CRM strategies by customer type
  • Evaluate how future acquisition strategies will change the mix of active members and implications on forecasted customer engagement and renewal rates
  • Own the month end close process 
  • Streamline the financial and KPI reporting process to provide accurate and timely information
  • Assist in various ad-hoc analysis and strategic projects as they arise

QUALIFICATIONS

  • 5+ years relevant Finance experience
  • Prior experience in e-commerce or CPG is a plus
  • Proficiency in business intelligence dashboarding tools like Domo, Tableau, Looker, or similar
  • Familiarity with CRM strategies and web analytics tools such as Amplitude, Google Analytics is a plus
  • Prior experience with NetSuite and Adaptive Planning is a plus
  • Advanced proficiency with Excel; expert in creating efficient, clean, complex, and dynamic financial models. Familiarity with PowerBI, data mining techniques, and/or SQL a plus
  • Ability to create very strong partnerships cross-functionally
  • Ability to work under pressure, often in a deadline-driven environment, and ability to perform several tasks concurrently
  • Must possess excellent critical thinking, problem-solving skills, and superior attention to detail
  • Ability to communicate clearly and concisely, verbally and in writing
  • If remote, willingness to travel up to 4 times per year or as required by the business (~5%)

JOB INFORMATION

  • Compensation Description - The base salary range for this position is $135,00 - $145,000/Per Year.
  • Compensation may vary outside of this range depending on several factors, including a candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies and experience, and geographic location.
