The Mission Systems Organization has an opening for a Manager, FP&A in the RTN Central Finance Rates department. This a remote opportunity.

You can expect to gain valuable government contract finance experience, as well as insight into how strategic management decisions impact the performance of those contracts. This position entails creation, review, and analysis of financial data relating to overhead expenses and rates, and their impact on sales and margin. Additionally, the Rates team regularly works with experts in the Financial Planning & Analysis, Budgets, and Accounting organizations.

What You Will Do:

• Managing and leading a team of finance professionals
• Overseeing certain primary pools in the Collins RTN CAS segments, with programs in both Mission Systems and Avionics strategic business units (SBUs). For those primary pools, responsibilities include oversight and/or preparation of:
• Forward Pricing Rate Proposal (FPRP) updates
• Calendarized base and expense plans
• Financial modeling and over/under analysis
• Monthly DCMA/external Customer reports
• Monthly base and expense forecasts and relevant internal reporting
• Analyzing SBU element of cost forecasts for pool base
• Supporting the incurred cost submission
• Developing relevant 1030 inputs for submission to Collins HQ and Corporate
• Analyzing, preparing, and reviewing relevant monthly, quarterly, and year end accruals
• Supporting Collins RTN special projects, as required
• Providing training/education to stakeholders, as needed
• Ensuring compliance with segment disclosed practices

Qualifications You Must Have:

• Finance experience within the aerospace and defense industry
• Typically requires: Bachelor’s degree and 8 years of prior relevant experience OR  Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 5 years of experience

• U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract

• Experience interfacing with various stakeholders (Accounting, Budgets, FP&A, Functions, Programs, etc.)
• Ability to work in a fast paced, dynamic environment where the successful candidate must balance multiple, competing priorities
• Proficient computer skills in MS Office – Excel, PowerPoint and Word
• Strong written and verbal communication skills

Qualifications We Prefer:

• Familiarity with indirect rates, including cost build up and application
• Experience in multiple finance disciplines; Program Controls, FP&A, Accounting, Rates, Budgets, E&P, etc.
• Working knowledge of SAP (APEX), and Analysis for Office (AO)
• Familiarity with Disclosure Statements
• Ability to synthesize large amounts of information into meaningful analysis
