Manager, Fleet Maintenance

Compensation range for this role is : $70,000 - $80,000
Applicants for this role will be considered in the following markets: Charlotte, NC; Marietta, GA; Syracuse, NY

Role will require 50-75% travel

As a Manager, Fleet Maintenance at RXO, you’ll lead and ensure optimization for all aspects of repair and maintenance on both internal and external equipment. You’ll work to streamline processes and find cost-reducing resolutions. On our team, you’ll have the support to excel at work and the resources to build a career you can be proud of.  

What your day-to-day will look like: 

• Oversee and ensure accurate record entry into the operations and billing systems; follow all protocols and procedures 

• Act as department liaison; initiate contact when team does not reach an adequate resolution and the group is hindering progress 

• Communicate daily with vendors, customers and internal clients

• Investigate high-level customer issues and follow problems through to resolution 

• Recruit, mentor, develop and lead a team; train staff to deliver a high standard of customer service; assist with conflict resolution  

• Document roadside service interactions 

• Negotiate rates and contracts with vendors 

What you’ll need to excel: 

At a minimum, you’ll need: 

• 4 years’ relevant experience in logistics or transportation   

• Availability to work different shifts including days, evenings and weekends  

It’d be great if you also have: 

• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience   

• Strong business focus with validated ability to work well with management teams  

• Confirmed leadership and collaboration skills with the ability to effectively guide, mentor and motivate employees  

• Ability to utilize a variety of interpersonal styles and communication methods to effectively adapt to new work structures, processes or cultures   

• Proficiency with Windows applications and Microsoft Office; quickly learn and achieve proficiency in new software applications  

• Ability to find opportunities to increase accuracy, optimize resources and develop, recommend and implement solutions  

• Strong creative thinker; conclusive, results oriented and strategic
