Manager, FP&A 

As a key leader within Billtrust’s FP&A team, this role provides financial reporting and analysis to support strategic and tactical decision-making for business line and executive management. Success in the role will be measured by the ability to pro-actively deliver insights to the business leveraging developed automation & efficiencies within FP&A.  The position collaborates with senior management to develop, interpret, and implement financial and accounting concepts related to strategic planning, budgeting, and forecasting to drive business outcomes. The role’s primary focus is on revenue analytics across all Billtrust segments, leveraging SaaS industry expertise to deliver insights and enhance the accuracy of financial planning and analysis.

What You’ll Do:

  • Lead and develop a team of analysts responsible for revenue facing financial reporting and analysis that supports strategic and tactical decisions.
  • Oversee the preparation of the Monthly Operating Review package, providing commentary on variances from the plan, forecast, and prior year.
  • Build, improve predictabily & accuracy of forecasting financial models to perform various revenue, bookings, and ARR analytics.
  • Model continuous revenue streams, including subscription- and transaction-based software and payment products, using business-specific KPIs to drive assumptions.
  • Coordinate and lead the strategic & annual budgeting process and the rolling forecast, aligning with strategic planning.
  • Drive change and growth across the FP&A team, ensuring resources are in place to meet responsibilities and deliver results on time.
  • Cultivate cross-functional partnerships with multiple levels of business management to support organizational objectives.
  • Leverage FP&A data analyst and the use of AI and other automation tools to enhance process efficiency, allowing the broader FP&A team to focus on in-depth analysis with business partners.
  • Support M&A due diligence and integration as needed.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

What You’ll Bring:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
  • Strong experience in the SaaS industry, particularly in revenue modeling and variance analysis, including Bookings, ARR, GRR, NRR, Upsell, Downsell, Payments TPV, portfolio rate analysis, & time to live Services analysis.
  • 5+ years of experience managing direct FP&A reports.
  • Proven leadership skills.
  • Advanced Excel modeling skills; ability to develop and maintain complex multi-year financial models with data from varied sources.
  • Working knowledge of standard financial statements and GAAP.
  • Ability to effectively partner with executives and senior management to inform decision-making.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with a collaborative and approachable demeanor.
  • A proactive desire to learn and adjust priorities in a fast-paced, dynamic work environment.
  • Experience in a Private Equity environment is strongly preferred.
  • MBA or CPA is a plus.

The base salary for this position is $130,000- $150,000.
Compensation may vary depending on several factors, including a candidate’s qualifications, skills, experience, competencies, and geographic location. Some roles may qualify for extra incentives like equity, commissions, or other variable performance-related bonuses.
