As the Manager, Equity Administration, you will oversee the administration and management of equity compensation programs, which can include stock options, ESPP and restricted stock units. You will be responsible for ensuring compliance with regulatory and tax requirements, external and internal reporting requirements and supporting employees in understanding their equity compensation. 
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in equity administration, exceptional attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively across departments.
This is a remote opportunity within Canada and the US.

What we're looking for:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a management role in equity administration and at least 1 year of people management experience.
  • Proven track record of developing and implementing effective equity strategies that align with business objectives.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the demonstrated ability to interpret complex data, identify trends, and use insights to make data-driven decisions.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across multiple departments and influence stakeholders at all levels.
  • Detail-oriented mindset with strong attention to detail skills.
  • Proven knowledge of equity regulations and applicable tax laws impacting equity transactions.
  • Demonstrated expertise in using Excel to analyze large data sets (i.e. intermediate level for formulas, pivot tables, VLOOKUPs) and experience with other BI tools such as Looker or Tableau.
  • Experience using an equity platform such as Shareworks.
  • Experience with handling confidential information with a high level of integrity.
  • Preferred: University degree or equivalent in business and/or commerce.
  • Preferred: CEP certified or working towards the certification.

What you can expect:

  • Oversee the development, administration and reporting of equity administration and reporting processes (e.g, data analysis, reconciliation, and equity grant calculations) including the maintenance of accurate records of equity transactions ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies.
