THE JOB: Manager, Digital Health Strategy & Associate Privacy Officer (14 Month Contract) 

The starting salary range falls within the minimum to mid-point of the salary range.

Starting Salary Range: $92,077 - $115,096

Reporting to the Vice President, Digital Health Strategy & Privacy Officer, the Manager, Digital Health Strategy & Associate Privacy Officer is tasked with driving the strategic advancement of Doctors of BC’s digital health initiatives while ensuring robust compliance with privacy regulations. This role is pivotal in shaping and implementing digital health strategies that align with both provincial and organizational goals, with a specific focus on privacy and risk management.

Key responsibilities include:

Strategic Planning and Implementation:

  • Lead the development and execution of physician engagement in digital health projects ensuring physician participation is considered through the lifecycle of the project, as outlined within the strategic objectives of Doctors of BC.
  • Engage with cross-functional teams to define clear objectives, set priorities, and allocate resources effectively to meet project goals.
  • Oversee the planning of engagement ensuring there is a diverse and inclusive group of physicians contributing to the modernization of healthcare in BC.

Stakeholder Management:

    • Build and maintain strong collaborative relationships with internal teams, external partners, health authorities, and the Ministry of Health.
    • Support project alignment across organizations provincially, minimizing duplicative efforts, and enhancing awareness and understanding of digital health initiatives both internally and externally.
    • Act as a key liaison between doctors, policymakers, and technology developers to ensure that physician needs and perspectives are integrated into digital health solutions.

    Reporting:

      • Provide comprehensive and accurate updates to the Board and broader membership on engagement in digital health and privacy, highlighting progress, challenges, and opportunities.
      • Increase awareness among members about digital health initiatives, privacy practices, and available resources, ensuring transparency and informed participation.
      • Support the development and continuous reporting of activities to the Board of Directors and Senior Leadership Team, in alignment with the strategic plan.
