The Manager, Demand Generation is the leader of the Demand Gen team and one of the founding members of the team, responsible to help build and establish the new Demand Gen function.

The day-to-day includes people leadership and working on the strategy, development and execution of programs that drive pipeline. As an expert in the core aspects of Demand Gen and Digital Marketing, this role will define and implement best practices, develop campaigns and manage budget to ensure successful business outcomes.

This position interfaces directly with Marketing, Sales and Product teams to develop integrated omni-channel campaigns and initiatives across multiple channels including digital advertising, paid media, webinars and virtual events, email marketing automation and others.

 

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Lead the demand generation/campaigns function at Sherweb, including development and execution of strategy by GTM to drive market awareness, educate and capture interest and ultimately build pipeline.
  • Lead the demand gen team which is responsible for our acquisition engine at Sherweb.
  • Own the cross-functional ABM program at Sherweb.
  • Work with RevOps and PMM to forecast, measure, analyze and report the impact of demand generation campaigns on MQL, SQL, pipeline, revenue and sales cycle length; leverage quantitative skills to interpret data and gain insights that then translate into actionable changes.
  • Define lead quality, optimize marketing process (such as Sales/MKT SLA and lead hand-off) to meet/exceed goals.
  • Balance lead volume and quality to achieve return on Marketing Spend and meet budget.
  • Execute and optimize paid media strategies to maximize reach and engagement.
  • Form a tight partnership with Sales to meet/exceed sales goals.
  • Act as a key stakeholder and partner with operations teams to identify where sales and marketing technologies present an opportunity to increase effectiveness.
  • Manage email campaign execution to drive engagement and conversions.
  • Utilize marketing automation tools to streamline campaign execution and tracking.

 

Expectations of a Manager, Demand Generation:

A Manager, Demand Generation is expected to have mastery of the core demand generation concepts and skills, with a healthy foundation of experience covering major B2B channels. You are a senior professional that thrives with autonomy and are looking to leverage your experience to lead a new demand gen function/team.

  • Experience level: You are expected to have broad mastery of demand generation with a healthy foundation of experience covering all the major B2B channels.
  • Mentorship and best practices: You are expected to manage and act as a mentor to the team and bring best practices to the table to up-level the overall function/team.
  • Responsibility scope: Responsible for overall Demand Gen function at Sherweb with accountability for campaign and acquisition performance. This is a player-coach role that is responsible for both strategy, people management and execution.
  • Decision-making authority: You have greater decision-making authority, leading your function.
  • Autonomy/supervision: You are to work independently and lead projects with less supervision, higher levels of independence and occasional support needed. You will be expected to manage relationships, manage up and generate/leverage political influence to unblock projects and initiatives with less frequent need for escalations.

 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business or related field.
  • 4+ years of experience in a Senior Demand Gen Marketing role in B2B Tech (with 8+ years' work experience)
  • 1+ years of management experience, including experience managing junior ICs and senior ICs.
  • Proven and demonstrated experience with ABM, including launching the ABM program within a business.
  • Highly proficient in evaluating demand channels’ performance through quantitative analysis to determine appropriate changes in the marketing mix.
  • Self-motivated, disciplined and able to effectively manage workload with minimal supervision.

  • Strong analytical skills and experience with CRM and marketing automation platforms.

Reasons for the requirement of English: Sherweb has international customers and fluency in English is the only way to ensure proper service delivery to them. The main tasks related to this position require written and oral communication with an English-speaking clientele at all times.
