Job DescriptionEssential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Conduct in-depth primary and secondary research, analyze information and data, including interviews with internal and external sources to better understand competitor products, go-to-market strategy
- Utilize publicly available information (via FOIA requests, etc.) to present insights on win and loss results where possible
- Synthesize and create compelling content such as competitor and consultant profiles, feature matrices, playbooks, SWOT, win-loss analysis, pricing comparisons, etc.
- Identify market trends, industry developments, client movements and other relevant client news to provide actionable business information to departments and management. Communicate results of research and analysis through written reports and verbal communication on a regular basis
- Capture, assess, and disseminate intelligence/insights across the business through competitive briefs, and requests for information from internal stakeholders
- Develop consumer intelligence reports (inclusive of trends and themes) based on market research, data analytics, and social media by aggregating available information in a way that provides structure, consistency, and meaning..
- Develop and maintain an internal repository of competitive information.
- Work with cross-functional internal staff members to develop and assist in the training and delivery of competitive assets and other sales enablement activities.
- Stay current with PBM and healthcare industry trends to integrate into the above referenced deliverables.

Education and/or Experience
Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university and six or more (6+) years of relevant work experience in Competitive Intelligence or Market Intelligence and Research, ideally in a healthcare environment, with at least 2 years in a PBM; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Medicare and Medicaid experience is a plus.
Computer Skills
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (PPT, Excel, Word, etc.) software

Solid understanding of health plan and health system business models and operations, including the impacts imposed by health care reform. Ability to collaborate cross-functionally, especially across proposal, marketing, product management and sales channels. Advanced analytical techniques to deliver competitive insights and strategy support on the industry
Language Skills
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
Reasoning Ability
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

This position is remote.
Working Hours
This is an exempt level position requiring one to work the hours needed to get the job done. Therefore one must have the flexibility to work beyond traditional hours and be able to work nights, weekends or on holidays as required. This may be changed from time to time to meet the needs of the business. Typical core business hours are from 8am to 5pm Monday through Friday.
