THE JOB: Manager, Clinical Services
The starting salary range falls within the minimum to mid-point of the salary range.
Starting Salary Range: $92,077 - $115,096
Reporting to the Vice President, Physician Health Program, you will manage, mentor and guide a team of highly qualified Clinical Coordinators for maximum performance and satisfaction. This involves establishing and monitoring adherence to good practices in case coordination and documentation, as well as relationship building and maintenance in addition to managing caseloads, and assisting Clinical Coordinators with complex cases. The Manager, Clinical Services is a main point of contact for contracted partnering vendors and stakeholders involved in the delivery of clinical services. The Manager, Clinical Services will lead Clinical and Quality Improvement initiatives along with preparing and evaluating Standard Operating Procedures and managing responses to reported quality issues. The Manager will work with the VP, PHP to strategize clinical mandates, deliverables and the vision with the aim of achieving excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
- Leadership and Team Management: Provide direction and support to Clinical Coordinators, overseeing team operations, and maintaining effective team dynamics.
- Case Oversight and Management: Oversee the management of caseloads, including handling complex cases and ensuring that cases are managed efficiently and with the highest standard of care.
- External Relations: Manage relationships with external stakeholders, including community partners, healthcare providers, and counselling vendors, to enhance service integration and resource availability.
- Collaborative Leadership: Work closely with other managers within the PHP to coordinate efforts and ensure a cohesive approach to external engagement, service delivery and department culture.
- Strategic Planning and Implementation: Work with the VP to develop and implement strategic initiatives related to clinical services, ensuring alignment with the broader goals of the organization.
- Performance and Quality Improvement: Monitor and evaluate team performance against clinical quality metrics and organizational goals. Drive continuous improvement initiatives and ensure adherence to best practices in clinical services management.

WHAT YOU BRING
- Registration as a nurse, psychiatric nurse, occupational therapist, social worker or counsellor in BC; and a relevant Master’s level degree (Social Work, Counselling Psychology, Vocational Rehabilitation).
- 10 years’ experience in case management or disability management, with a significant background in mental health and wellness programs.
- Knowledge of mental health community resources, and provincial systems, regulations, and policies is an asset.
- Proven leadership skills with the ability to manage diverse teams in a dynamic and changing environment.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, capable of building and maintaining a cooperative and supportive team atmosphere.
- Proficiency in healthcare management software and systems, with strong organizational and analytical skills.
- Ability to promote and maintain effective working relationships suppliers, vendors and other stakeholders.
- Ability to handle highly confidential information in a discreet and professional manner.
- Ability to prioritize and balance multiple responsibilities in an environment that shifts between planned activities and responding to urgent client needs.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
- A collaborative and adaptive leadership style, committed to flexibility in task management and decision-making to meet changing needs.
- An ability to independently handle varying workloads and responsibilities, ensuring continuity and consistency in leadership.
- A proactive approach to problem-solving and conflict resolution, focused on achieving the team’s objectives and ensuring the well-being of its members.
