Position Summary:

The Manager, Clinical Contracts Management is responsible for

managing all aspects of vendor selection / contracting, negotiation / execution of other required agreements (e.g. LOIs) in support of the clinical development plan. This role requires the ability to solve complex problems that require ingenuity, innovation, and creativity as well as experience working with clinical research phases I-IV. The ability to collaborate with other clinical contracts team members, clinical trial teams and vendors is imperative.

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with clinical trial teams and other internal stakeholders, vendors and investigational sites to support timely study start-up to meet departmental and organizational goals.
  • Key responsibilities include:
    • Develop Investigator Grants budget based on Fair Market Value benchmark data
    • Review the request for proposals (RFP) for clinical services during the bidding process to help select the CRO vendor that will deliver the study related activities, inclusive of budget development, budget and contract negotiation.
    • Communicate Lilly’s position on various budget and contract items/issues in a frontline capacity.
    • Review respective contracting escalations and apply the Negotiation Guidance Document and the legal basis behind our position while negotiation on behalf of Lilly; employ various communication strategies to deliver Lilly’s position.
    • Review respective budget escalations and apply the Negotiation Parameters and standard pricing and provide basis for our position.
    • Manage and communicate with various partners the status of the budget and contract finalization/execution as these activities play a key role in declaring a site ready to enroll patients on a clinical trial.
