Your role at Clorox:

The Manager, Business Quality Specialist is responsible for providing end-to-end supply chain quality assurance leadership and support to the Litter Business. As an individual contributor, you will provide strategic leadership for Quality Management as a member of the Supply Chain Leadership Team. This role will be responsible for leading Product Issue Teams, mitigating issues, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, associated standards, policies, and procedures. This role will also have an expectation to build a strong quality culture for this business by focusing on continuous improvement and waste elimination initiatives. Additionally, this position develops, implements, maintains, and improves Quality systems, principles, and processes.

In this role, you will:

  • Participate on project teams as the Quality function subject matter expert in the development, designing, installing and starting up of new products, product improvements, and technology upgrades to ensure our plants consistently deliver quality at our Clorox plants, External Manufacturers (EMs) and suppliers.
  • Lead Product Issue Teams to successful resolutions and provide leadership and technical knowledge for troubleshooting and problem resolution at our plants, EMs and suppliers. 
  • Ensure the effective management and communication of improvement plans and draw on internal and external experts as appropriate to meet project objectives and timelines.
  • Provide strategic leadership and functional vision to help develop/execute the quality journey milestones for the function as well as the Business Unit.
  • Participate in the training, recruiting, career planning, skill development, and any other activity that develops the organization including, but not limited to: Developing leadership, influence, and technical skills for personnel in Quality roles in our plants. 
  • Identify key leverage points within organization to drive quality improvements and lead processes to improve product design and supply quality, by establishing credibility with business management team. 
  • Implement and manage Clorox Quality Systems: Supplier quality, customer and consumer complaint process. 
  • Provide Quality oversight of Critical to Quality (CTQ) capability within CLX manufacturing sites, suppliers, and EMs and ensures issues are identified and resourced. Engages with other QA resources as needed to address specific technical Quality issues.
  • Support continuous improvement of the Quality function by identifying and resolving gaps in quality systems, tools, and processes. Role develops implements, maintains, and improves quality systems and processes.

What we look for:

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution.
  • Eight years of experience in quality, supply chain, regulatory, project management, or operations leadership.
  • Desire to have familiarity with GMP requirements and regulations.
  • Ability to fluently communicate (oral and written) in the English language.
  • Strong leadership, project management and problem-solving skills, to include issue resolution and root-cause analysis.
  • Highly flexibility and adaptability. Able to work independently in a fast-paced multitasking environment on multiple projects.
  • Strong interpersonal skills; may be sole representative of Quality on cross-functional technical project teams and will be the Quality leader on the Supply Chain Squad. Be able to achieve sustainable partnerships and collaborate internally and externally.
  • Strong technical skills to build quality into products.
  • In-depth knowledge and understanding of quality management systems, statistical process control, sample plans, SAP, PLM, and basic regulations is desirable.
  • Must be able to travel up to 30%. (Percentage depends on your location / proximity to the Litter Plants.)

Workplace type:

Hybrid: This individual will be required to be in the office 3 days a week, working remotely 2 days. This position can be based in Alpharetta, GA; Spring Hill, KS; or Martinsburg, WV. (Relo assistance may be available.)

Your starting pay will depend on job-related factors, including relevant skills, knowledge, experience and location. The applicable salary range for every role in the U.S. is based on your work location and is aligned to one of three zones according to the cost of labor in your area.

–Zone A: $106,700 - $204,900–Zone B: $97,800 - $187,900–Zone C: $88,900 - $170,800
