Position Summary:

Reporting to the Senior Manager, Business Intelligence & Analytics, the successful candidate is responsible for helping to drive the North American Commercial team’s business intelligence and analytics agenda as part of the Data & Analytics team.  This position is accountable for driving data -driven decision making and providing strategic insights to support EPCs growth and profitability.   They will lead data-driven analyses, build custom tools and capabilities, drive the data integration and management, and collaborate on cross-functional projects while supporting the NA Commercial D&A team in delivering enhanced analytic rigor and competences across the organization. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to help shape the NA Commercial business intelligence strategy and contribute to the company's growth and success leveraging business insights and analytics.

Accountabilities

•    Facilitate the NA Commercial Team’s overall business intelligence strategy, aligning with EPC's goals and objectives.
•    Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify business needs and translate them into actionable insights and data-driven solutions.
•    Oversee the design, development, and maintenance of data models, dashboards, and reports to support business operations and decision-making--especially in the areas of Omni-Channel Performance, Promotions, RGM, Coupons, Digital Marketing, Retail Execution, and 4P strategy.
•    Drive the collection, analysis, and interpretation of data from various sources and leverage advanced analytic capabilities to identify trends, patterns, and opportunities for improvement.
•    Build predictive and statistical models to support recommendations on how to optimize spend across sales and marketing initiatives (examples include: price elasticity models, coupon/promotional lift analytics, assortment optimization, allocation models, customer spend models, etc.)
•    Stay updated on industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in business intelligence to drive continuous improvement and innovation.
•    Help drive data accuracy, integrity, and security by implementing and maintaining robust data governance and quality control processes for the NA Commercial Team.
•    Collaborate with IT team to optimize data infrastructure, tools, and systems to support business intelligence initiatives for the commercial organization.
•    Foster a data-driven culture within the organization by promoting the use of data and analytics in decision-making at all levels.


Required Education, Skills and Experience

•    A bachelor’s degree in Business, Computer Science, Data Analytics, Statistics or a related field.
•    Proven experience (4+ years) in business intelligence, data analytics, or a related field; CPG experience highly preferred. 
•    Must have experience (4+ years) working with PowerBi (M script), and DAX calculations. Candidate must be adept at PowerBi, with the ability to creatively visualize business needs.
•    In-depth knowledge of business intelligence concepts, methodologies, and tools (e.g., data modeling, data visualization, ETL processes, reporting tools) such as Alteryx and similar platforms.
•    Basic skill and querying skills in SQL and database management systems such as Snowflake and other similar systems.

•    Strong business acumen and ability to translate complex data into actionable insights and recommendations.
•    Excellent communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
•    Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking abilities, with a focus on driving continuous improvement and innovation.
•    Experience in working with large amounts of disparate data sources and advanced analytic modeling capabilities.
•    Strong interpersonal skills with demonstrated ability to work across multiple groups and levels across the organization in a team-oriented, fast-paced environment.
•    Strong project management/problem solving skills and the ability to manage and prioritize many projects simultaneously.
•    Self-sufficient, creative learner with natural intellectual curiosity and passion for data, analytics, and driving business insights.
•    Demonstrated ability to drive quantifiable business impact using advanced analytics and business intelligence to deliver insights across all levels of an organization.  Experience in CPG commercial analytics preferred.
•    Experience in identifying and implementing best practices regarding data, analytics, tools, and emerging capabilities and technologies.
•    The ability to work on multiple projects at once, meet deadlines, and shift accordingly to business needs.
•    A typical day includes Extracting, Transforming, and Loading data if necessary to prep. Ingest that data into PowerBi for visualization. Code various formulas, measures, KPIs that help drive the business. Develop a professional dashboard that allows stakeholders to glean insight. Demo that dashboard to stakeholders and assist in driving the business forward.

•    The Manager, Business Intelligence and Commercial Analytics will need to establish new and growing current relationships throughout all organizational levels, as well as manage relationships with external partners and suppliers.

The salary range for this position is $112,000 - 168,000. Actual base salary offered to a candidate may vary based upon factors including, but not limited to, relevant experience, time in role, base salary of internal peers, prior performance, business sector, and geographic location. In addition to base salary, the competitive compensation package may include, depending on the role, participation in an incentive program linked to performance.
