About This PositionWith +2.1 GWac of PV and PV+BESS assets under management, the IP Operations team is scaling its Asset Management function to accommodate for future growth and new technologies. Working alongside our Operational Performance and NERC Compliance teams, the Asset Management team monitors our operating utility scale renewable projects to ensure optimal performance of the company’s portfolio.
The Manager role includes managing the fiscal well-being, operational performance, and regulatory/contractual compliance of your assigned projects. Additional scope includes leading commercial relationships, internal and external reporting, maintaining external financing counterparty relations, and developing team processes for future opportunities. Given the interdisciplinary approach, this position works closely with various other support teams, including accounting, operations and maintenance, project finance, trading, and legal counterparts.
Overview of DepartmentThe current operations team consists of operations, asset management, and compliance professionals with over 4GW of operational experience. The operations team works closely with the Development and Construction teams to bring Intersect Power’s pipeline from concept to operations remaining involved throughout the project lifecycle. The Intersect Power operations team is expanding to support the growing fleet moving into operations over in the near term.

Responsibilities and Duties
- Manage all project contracts to ensure contractual and regulatory compliance.
- Produce recurring project reports for project owners and financing counterparties, including physical and financial performance reviews.
- Manage stakeholder relationships with owners, investors, lenders, off-takers, landowners, AHJs. Project manage remediation and site improvement efforts.
- Work with internal and external stakeholders to manage project hand over processes through development, construction, and operations.
- Enhance production via collaboration with the project’s maintenance and engineering teams.
- Establish annual project budgets, and oversee cash flow management/forecasting processes (in accordance with financial tax equity structures).
- Review quarterly and annual financial and tax statements.
- Collaborate with internal development/project finance/legal functions to support future project financing and origination efforts.
- Develop Asset Management processes and structure to support future growth and efficiency.
- Oversee warranty processes in collaboration with the internal warranty department.
Qualifications and Skills
- 4+ years of experience in PV, PV+BESS, or Wind asset management
- Experience managing assets within the CAISO/ERCOT energy markets (CAISO preferred)
- BS/MS in Business Administration, Finance, Energy Studies, Environmental Studies, Engineering, or related field
- Knowledge of grid-tied PV or Wind system design, operation, management, and financing
- Experience with data analysis, reporting, and presentation
- Strong interpersonal & customer service skills
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to track & execute large volumes of on-going compliance obligations
- Strong skills within Microsoft or Google environment: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Project
- Demonstrated ability to manage projects independently.
- Team leadership/managerial experience (preferred).

- Position is part of a remote team, with regular electronic and video communication
- Position requires 4x per year travel for company-wide meetups across US & Canada and regional meetings as needed by department.

- Salary: $130,000 USD to $140,000 USD base salary with 25-30% annual target bonus
