In this highly visible Internal Controls/Technical Accounting oriented position, you will allow Mission Systems to fulfill its mission in the areas of accounting controls and compliance.  

This role will be performed REMOTE from any Collins Aerospace location either domestic or remote.

What YOU Will Do:

Responsibilities:

  • Perform annual SOX internal control testing procedures
  • Support implementation of strategic initiatives to optimize SOX compliance activities
  • Monitor changes in business, processes and systems. Provide support to stakeholders to ensure any required updates to control documentation and testing
  • Assist with the annual risk assessment of various entities
  • Assist with the annual control procedures review  and self-assessment process to ensure controls are applicable to various entities and that they are being performed and executed as planned
  • Develop and update control documentation including flow charts, narratives, and risk and control matrices
  • Obtain a thorough understanding of the business processes and systems related to controls
  • Assist in performing annual audit & control assessments (ACAs)
  • Collaborate with teammates and the business regarding observations noted during ACAs and testing, including development and follow-up of mitigating action plans procedures are completed timely
  • Minimal domestic travel as needed

Qualifications You Must Have:

  • Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) unless prohibited by local laws/regulations and minimum 8 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 5 years of experience or in absence of a degree, 12 years of relevant experience
  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract

  • Requires advanced to expert knowledge of work area typically obtained through advanced education combined with experience.
  • May have broad knowledge of project management.
  • Requires substantial knowledge of RTX projects, programs or systems in order to provide enhancements within job area.

Remote: Employees who are working in Remote roles* will work primarily offsite (from home).  An employee may be expected to travel to the site location as needed.

The salary range for this role is 96,000 USD - 200,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

Specific benefits are dependent upon the specific business unit as well as whether or not the position is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement.

Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company’s performance.
