As the company is expanding, we have an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated and value-driven Magento Developer to join our growing team based around the country.
We are looking for a Magento Developer who is dedicated to the craft, writes code that they are proud of and can hit the ground running. You will be a part of a full-stack creative team that is responsible for all aspects of the ongoing software development from the initial specification, through to developing, testing and launching. You will be responsible for one of our ecommerce stores.
Key Responsibilities:
· Ownership of the Magento Estate: Oversee the technical management of the Magento platform, ensuring system integrity, security, and optimal performance.
· Development and Customisation: Build, test, and deploy new features and functionalities using Magento 2, PHP, HTML5, and CSS3. Customise themes, modules, and integrations as required by business objectives.
· Optimisation and Maintenance: Ensure the platform’s performance, stability, and scalability by managing regular updates, troubleshooting issues, and optimizing the codebase.
· Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with frontend, backend, UX, and product teams to create a seamless, high-quality user experience.
· Third-Party Integrations: Implement and maintain integrations with third-party systems (such as ERP, CRM, and payment gateways) and other ecommerce tools.
· Security Compliance: Ensure security compliance within the Magento platform, conducting routine security checks, patching, and addressing vulnerabilities.
· Documentation: Maintain clear and comprehensive technical documentation of processes, customisations, and workflows within the Magento platform.
· AWS LightSail: An understanding of AWS LightSail will be an advantage.

Requirements
Required Skills & Experience:
Technical Proficiency:
· 3+ years of experience working with Magento 2 in a commercial environment.
· Strong knowledge of PHP, with experience in HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript.
· Familiarity with SQL databases and managing Magento integrations with other business systems.
Experience with Retail/Ecommerce Platforms:
· Proven ability to deliver high-quality ecommerce solutions tailored to the retail sector.
Problem Solving and Debugging:
· Strong skills in debugging, troubleshooting, and optimising code for performance and scalability.
Communication:
· Ability to convey technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Project Management:
· Capable of managing multiple tasks and delivering high-quality solutions within deadlines.
