Discovery Land Company is seeking a full-time, year-round Low Voltage Project Management Office Manager to join the Field Innovation Department.

As the Low Voltage Project Management Office (PMO) Manager, you will lead and manage a global team of project managers, offering guidance, mentorship, and support to drive the successful execution of projects. You will oversee a team responsible for delivering multiple projects across diverse regions, ensuring alignment with organizational goals, timelines, and budgets. This leadership role requires a high level of project management expertise, strong leadership capabilities, and the ability to navigate complex international settings. The role involves overseeing phased and projectized vertical construction initiatives, with fast-paced, demanding schedules and delivery requirements. The PMO will provide on-site oversight of multiple contracted companies and resources within the active and upcoming project portfolio to ensure timely and budget-conscious delivery of turn-key facilities, including the following services:
• Enterprise Audio Visual and Automation
• Network (Switching/Wireless)
• Security (Video and Access Control)
• Horizontal to Vertical Fiber Connectivity
• OSP and Private/Public Fiber Planning

Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Establish and maintain project management best practices, standards, processes, and tools to ensure consistent and effective project delivery across the organization.
  • Provide training and development opportunities for project managers and team members to enhance their skills and knowledge.
  • Ensure PMs work closely with development and operations management teams at assigned clubs to create short and long - term low voltage infrastructure plans
  • Develop and manage vendor and integrator relationships to ensure accurate delivery and installation to design specifications and standards
  • Periodically perform quality control and assurance (QA/QC) throughout design and development to ensure expected standards, schedules and budgets are responsibly managed
     

Skills & Qualifications:

  • Experience: Minimum of 7 years of experience in project management, with at least 2 years in a leadership role overseeing international teams in the audiovisual, security, or internet network industries
  • Project Management Certifications: PMP, PRINCE2, or other relevant certifications preferred.
  • Strong Leadership Skills: Proven ability to lead and motivate a geographically dispersed team of project managers to achieve common goals.
  • Global Project Experience: Demonstrated ability to manage and deliver projects across multiple regions, navigating cultural differences and international regulations.
  • Technology Proficiency: Experience with project management software (e.g., MS Project, Monday, Jira) and other tools for collaboration and reporting.
  • Demonstrated field experience performing construction QA/QC and monitoring work performance of 3rd -party low voltage contractors and integrators
  • Working knowledge of, and field experience with structured cabling, AV, CCTV, and access control systems and devices.
  • Experience in managing large scale, multi-million dollar commercial/industrial projects.
  • Experience with generating and reviewing RFI's and RFP's
  • Familiarity with BICSI, EIA, TIA, and NEC standards
  • Experience managing revisions, changes and additions to contractual agreements with architects, consultants, clients, suppliers and subcontractors.
  • Demonstrates strong problem-solving skills and written and verbal communication skills         

Preferred Qualifications

  • BA/BS In Construction Management, Engineering or other applicable field of study
  • Industry Accreditation from BICSI (RTPM), CTS, CTS-D or similar accredited organization
  • Project Management Institute PMP or other Project Management Certification
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Must be able to work flexible work hours/schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays. Long hours may be required due to business demands.
  • Positive attitude, professional demeanor, and exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to deliver service to members, guests, and team members.
  • Ability to work in a team environment.
  • Ability to stay calm and focused during the busiest of times.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, and a shift greater than eight (8) hours in length.
  • Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English; additional languages preferred.
  • Ability to meet the physical demands of the position including, but not limited to, working indoors and outdoors in all weather conditions, standing, walking, and moving for periods of greater than eight (8) hours, and lifting and carrying items sometimes greater than fifty (50) pounds.
  • Flexibility and ability to pivot to new projects and desire to work in fast-paced environment.

The compensation for the position is: $150,000 - plus bonus.

Travel: 10-15%
