Role Overview
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Logistics Supervisor to oversee the daily operations of pickups and deliveries across the United States. This role will also involve managing consumables planning for all warehouses, ensuring effective inventory control, and holding teams accountable for stock levels. The ideal candidate will excel in peak planning, resolving day-to-day transportation issues, and handling daily truck scheduling.
In this role, you will:
- Daily Operations Management:
- Oversee the day-to-day operations of pickups and deliveries, ensuring timely and efficient transportation services
- Schedule daily truck routes and ensure adherence to delivery timelines
- Address and resolve day-to-day transportation issues to maintain smooth operations
- Assist with the development of comprehensive program plans, timelines, budgets, and resource allocation
- Consumables Planning:
- Manage inventory controls and consumables planning for all warehouses, maintaining optimal stock levels
- Assist in creating SOP’s, guidelines, and other documentation
- Stakeholder Management:
- Hold warehouse teams accountable for accurate stock levels and inventory management
- Partner with key stakeholders within the organization to support various project goals, objectives, and deliverables
- Collaborate with regional managers to ensure seamless execution of deliverables in a timely manner
- Maintain clear and consistent communication with stakeholders, addressing inquiries, concerns, and feedback
- Develop relationships with internal and external stakeholders and vendors
- Peak Planning:
- Develop and implement peak planning strategies to handle high-demand periods effectively
- Use data-driven insights to suggest areas of improvement and optimization
- Collect, organize, and analyze data related to peak requirements and impact
- Prepare regular progress reports for management and stakeholders
We are looking for:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field
- 1-3 years of experience in logistics, transportation, or supply chain management
- Strong organization skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines
- Problem-solving skills to address challenges that may arise during program implementation
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Detail-oriented mindset with a focus on quality and accuracy
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
- Ability to manage work collaboratively within a team and independently when require
- Strong interpersonal skills for effective stakeholder engagement and relationship building
