WORK TYPE: Full Time
LOCATION DETAILS: Remote; preferred residence in Memphis, TN or Dallas, TX
WORK HOURS: Standard working hours are Mon-Fri from 8am-5pm. Availability to work weekend & off-hour events is required.
TRAVEL REQUIREMENT: 10%-25%, high for first year due to onsite training.
BASE PAY RATE: $60,000-$63,000 DOE
HOW YOU WILL MAKE AN IMPACT
As a member of the Logistics team, the Logistics Coordinator is a critical role and is responsible for overseeing and facilitating the supply chain operations of a company. Logistics Coordinator ensures efficient transportation, storage, and distribution of goods while maintaining high levels of accuracy and customer satisfaction. This position does have the flexibility to work remotely; onsite presence will be required for training and meetings on an ongoing basis.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
- Transportation & Shipping Coordination
- Plan and track shipments through process to ensure on-time delivery
- Coordinate with carriers, freight forwarders, and third party logistics providers
- Arrange transportation for incoming and outgoing shipments;
- Quote freight with carriers and select cost effective quotes
- Order Processing & Documentation
- Process shipping and receiving documentation, such as bills of lading and invoices
- Maintain accurate records of shipments, costs, and schedules.
- Partner with compliance team to ensure compliance with customs regulations and international shipping requirements
- Supplier & Vendor Coordination
- Communicate with suppliers and vendors to manage delivery schedules
- Resolve any shipment or supply chain issues promptly
- Customer Service & Support
- Provide tracking updates and shipment details to internal and external customers
- Handle any logistics-related inquiries or complaints.
- Ensure a high level of customer satisfaction by maintaining efficient operations.
- Compliance & Safety
- Maintain knowledge of import/export & domestic shipping regulations
- Implement best practices for risk management and logistics efficiency.
- Other duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS
KNOWLEDGE/ SKILLS/ ABILITIES
- Great attention to detail and organization skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Able to solve complex problems independently
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
- Able to travel up to 10 -25%
EDUCATION/ EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field (preferred) or 5+ years of experience in logistics, supply chain, or transportation
- 2-5 years’ experience in domestic shipping (FTL, LTL, Parcel) and Import/Export Shipping (Air, LCL, Container)
- Bi-lingual (English/Spanish) required
- Proficiency in logistics software (AS400 strongly preferred) and with Microsoft Outlook and Excel
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
This job operates in a professional office, warehouse, and event environment.
In the office, this is largely a sedentary role with some filing requiring the ability to lift files, open filing cabinets, and bending or standing on a stool as necessary. Ability to sit or stand for long periods through meetings and while operating office equipment, PCs, laptop, and telephone will be required. In the warehouse, physically demanding work may be required. The ability to often lift heavy items is essential.
During events, the ability to stand and walk for long periods of time (five hours plus) is required. The ability to communicate with customers and colleagues using the following but not limited to radio, walkie talkie, text message, and email is required. The ability to lift, bend, push, pull, and manipulate equipment that is a minimum of 30 lbs. is required.
