Linux Engineer

Germany - Remote

We are looking for a Linux engineer for our customer.

  • Support and further development of our own Linux distribution (based on CentOS and in future AlmaLinux)
  • Customisation of drivers for the hardware configurations of our appliances designed in-house
  • Adaptations in C to Asterisk, the central communication component
  • Establishment and further development of our build pipelines around our IP telephone system
  • Supporting our Java developers with code reviews / software tests and occasional development tasks on our Java-based IP telephone system

Requirements

  • Minimum professional experience required in developing and supporting Linux server environments, preferably using Fedora / CentOS / RHEL
  • Strong proficiency in C and C++, with basic knowledge of Java being a plus
  • Able to work independently in a challenging environment
  • Previous experience with SIP (Asterisk / chan_pjsip / chan_sip) is advantageous
  • Fluency in German at least at C1 level
