Life Underwriting Analyst II (Remote Home- Based Worker)

Job Description

The Analyst undergoes training with a mentor to learn the basics of underwriting at Allstate Health & Benefits. This includes the basic framework of how to underwrite individual applicants and employer group coverage, determining eligibility based on application, product, state signed, etc. and utilizes all other applicable sources such as MIB to make underwriting decisions.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain understanding of the basic framework on how our processing systems work to be able to move work properly

• Maintain positive relationships with our internal customers, and external customers through effective written and verbal communication skills

• Process and underwrite specialty products, projects as assigned

• Make Risk Selection decisions in a quality, timely, and productive manner

• Make underwriting decisions as assigned

Education

• 4 year Bachelors Degree (Preferred)

Experience

• 0-2 years experience (Preferred)

Supervisory Responsibilities

• This job does not have supervisory duties.

• In lieu of the above education requirements, an equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.

Compensation

Compensation offered for this role is $37,100.00 - 59,772.50 annually and is based on experience and qualifications.
