What you’ll do:

We are seeking a professional, reliable, detail-oriented, and organized individual to serve as a Licensing Administrator. In this role, you will oversee end-to-end agent readiness processes, working directly with Benefit Advisors, State Departments of Insurance, external carrier partners, and cross-functional teams to ensure Advisors meet licensing requirements in their designated states, enabling them to sell and service eHealth customers effectively.

State Licensing: Responsible for overseeing and executing the end-to-end licensure process for an assigned book of Benefit Advisors. This process may include, but is not limited to:

  • Screening and Licensing Coordination: Evaluate advisor candidates for licensure eligibility, manage the licensure process, including ordering exam prep courses, scheduling exams, coordinating fingerprints, and submitting applications to state Departments of Insurance.
  • Compliance Management: Monitor and renew licenses, ensure compliance with Continuing Education requirements, and maintain accurate licensing statuses to mitigate risks.
  • Process Optimization: Support automated processes for agent onboarding and licensing through User Acceptance Testing and continuous improvements.

Carrier Appointments: Responsible for overseeing and executing the end-to-end appointment process for an assigned book of Carriers. This may include, but is not limited to:

  • Data Management and Reporting: Prepare and submit reports with large volumes of advisor data to support appointment processing, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
  • Issue Resolution and Collaboration: Conduct gap analyses to address delays with carrier partners, escalate issues as needed, and collaborate with teams to integrate onboarding and certification requirements into the LMS.
  • Compliance and System Updates: Review carrier readiness reports, update advisor appointment statuses, and ensure enrollments are conducted only in authorized areas to mitigate compliance risks.

Who you are:

  • You have health insurance industry and/or licensing experience.
  • You have demonstrated knowledge and experience in healthcare licensing processes, including related regulations and compliance requirements.
  • You are proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, with a strong emphasis on Excel.
  • You have exceptional attention to detail, process adherence, and strong administrative and organizational skills.
  • You thrive in a dynamic, changing environment and adapt as business needs evolve.
  • You are a strong team player who collaborates effectively to achieve department goals.
  • You have professional written and verbal communication skills.

The base pay range reflects the anticipated pay range for this position. The actual base pay offered will depend on various factors including individual skills, experience, performance, qualifications, the department budget, and the location where work is performed. Base pay is one component of eHealth’s total rewards package, which also includes an annual performance bonus, plus an array of benefits designed to support employees’ personal and professional wellness.
