Job Overview
Davies Claims North America is seeking a Liability Claims Supervisor to join our growing team! Reporting to the Manager of P&C TPA, you will oversee adjusting staff and team assistants, ensuring high-quality claim handling. This role exclusively handles Governmental Entity Claims, requiring experience with Florida Sovereign Immunity.
To succeed in this position, you must demonstrate strong critical thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making skills, with a high level of attention to detail. You must also have superior time management, organization, and multi-tasking abilities in a fast-paced environment. Superb written and verbal communication skills are essential. This is a full-time, remote position with occasional travel required for claims meetings, client visits, and continuing education seminars to maintain your adjuster license.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Supervise claims specialists to ensure compliance with company, client, and state policies.
- Monitor workflow, train staff, and recommend process improvements for efficiency.
- Oversee public sector claims exclusively, ensuring adherence to Florida sovereign immunity regulations.
- Build and maintain strong client relationships to drive customer service and retention.
- Manage staff performance, attendance, and HR-related functions in coordination with management.
- Ensure accurate claim documentation, liability investigations, and resolution.
- Maintain and review supervisor and specialist diaries for timely claim processing.
- Ensure claims specialists meet quality control (QC) audit standards and performance benchmarks.
- Oversee reserving, excess reporting, subrogation handling, and litigation attendance.
- Approve and document reserve changes, settlements, and claim closures per policy.
- Attend and coordinate client status reviews as needed.
- Handle special projects and additional duties as assigned.
Experience and Qualifications
- 5+ years of Property, General Liability, and Legal claims adjusting experience (including Professional Lines, Law Enforcement, Slip and Fall, Auto Liability, and General Liability).
- Experience handling Governmental Entity Claims is required.
- Experience with Florida Sovereign Immunity is a must.
- Florida All-Lines Adjuster license required (must maintain CEU credits).
- College degree or four or more years of equivalent work experience.
- Previous experience in a supervisory or management role.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
