Legal System Specialist

POSITION SUMMARY:

Milliman, Global Corporate Services (GCS) legal team is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Legal System Specialist with proficient project management capabilities. The ideal candidate will possess a comprehensive understanding of system operations, maintenance, and troubleshooting, along with the ability to support and collaborate on system projects efficiently. This role requires a blend of system expertise, problem-solving skills, and project management experience to ensure the seamless integration and functionality of our Legal systems.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Legal System Team Support:

  • Install, configure, and maintain hardware and software systems.
  • Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues to ensure optimal functionality.
  • Implement and manage security measures to protect system integrity and data privacy.
  • Perform regular system audits, updates, backups, and disaster recovery operations.
  • Provide system support and training to end-users.
  • Diagnose and resolve hardware and software issues.
  • Document system configurations, processes, and procedures.

Project Support:

  • Provide high-level assistance with system projects from initiation to completion, ensuring timely delivery within scope and budget.
  • Develop project plans, timelines, and budgets, and monitor project progress.
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements, allocate resources, and communicate project status.
  • Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies.
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards and best practices throughout the project lifecycle.

Collaboration and Communication:

  • Work closely with other system professionals, vendors, and stakeholders to ensure seamless system operations.
  • Communicate effectively with non-system stakeholders to explain system issues and solutions.
  • Prepare and present reports on system performance, project status, and outcomes.

SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
  • The ideal candidate must have minimum 3 years of proven experience as a System Specialist or in a similar capacity.
  • Must have proficiency in project management methodologies and tools.
  • Must have excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Must have strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
  • Must have exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.

SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS PREFERRED:

  • Relevant certifications.
  • Experience with cloud services and virtualization technologies.
  • Familiarity with database management and software development.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

LOCATION:

This is a remote position. The expected application deadline for this job is August 15th, 2024.

COMPENSATION:

The salary range for this role is $66,000 to $129,000, depending on a combination of factors, including, but not limited to, education, relevant work experience, qualifications, skills, certifications, location, etc. This is a fulltime, non-exempt overtime eligible role; overtime eligible after 40 hours of work.
