Job Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented and technologically savvy law student to assist with contract review and management, CLM implementation, and legal research. The ideal candidate will have strong research, writing, and analytical skills, and a keen interest in contracts and commercial law. This role offers the opportunity to work with remote teams and gain hands-on experience in legal operations

Job Description and Requirements

Responsibilities: 

  • Becoming familiar with contract review and management within Relativity’s Contract Lifecycle Management (CLM) tool 

  • Assist with CLM implementation, including review and input of contract terms and data into the CLM  

  • Assisting with revising internal policies and procedures 

  • Conducting legal research, as needed; and other duties as assigned 

The successful candidate will demonstrate: 

  • Strong research and writing skills 

  • Interest in contracts and commercial law and/or legal operations 

  • Strong analytical and organizational skills, attention to detail 

  • Good verbal communication skills, and willingness to work with remote teams (with opportunity to be in office if desired) 

  • Technologically savvy and able to learn new technologies easily 

  • Experience with workflow management tools not required, but preferred 

  • Background in operations, engineering or IP, not required but a plus 

Requirements 

  • Currently enrolled in an accredited JD program with completion of 1st or 2nd year 

  • Looking to expand your knowledge and use skills you are developing in law school 

  • Critical thinker who is resourceful and can problem-solve 

  • Extremely detail-oriented 

  • Strong organizational, communication and interpersonal skills 

  • Strong work ethic and a positive, can-do attitude 

  • Desire to learn and tackle new things

This position is eligible for total compensation which includes a competitive base salary, an annual performance bonus, and long-term incentives.

The expected salary range for this role is between following values:

$43,000 and $55,000

The final offered salary will be based on several factors, including but not limited to the candidate's depth of experience, skill set, qualifications, and internal pay equity. Hiring at the top end of the range would not be typical, to allow for future meaningful salary growth in this position.
