The HealthEquity Intern program aims to provide accomplished students the opportunity to develop their skills while supporting the Company’s strategic objectives. Candidates are able to gain real-world experience applying their classroom learnings in a dynamic business environment. They receive coaching and mentoring from an experienced people leader who directs their work and helps ensure their success. HealthEquity interns get the opportunity to sit down with HealthEquity leadership and guest speakers. This speaker series includes our CEO Scott Cutler, our Founder Steve Neeleman, and leaders with expertise in finance, wellbeing, and recruiting.
**Our program begins May 19th, 2025 and runs through August 8th, 2025.
**Must be able to work full time 40 hours per week during these dates.
What you'll be doing
The HealthEquity Legal Department invites current law students who have at least completed their first year of law school to apply for a legal intern/law clerk position, supporting our Employment Law and Litigation team. The legal intern/law clerk will assist the attorneys in performing a wide variety of tasks, including monitoring and drafting updates on employment law developments, conducting research, conducting legal analysis, and drafting or reviewing a variety of documents (policies, templates, pleadings, letters, etc.).
What you will need to be successful
- Bachelor’s degree
- Current law student in an ABA accredited law school, with at least the first year completed (with preference for second year completed)
- Strong academic credentials/activities
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills with attention to detail
- Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
- Strong legal research and analysis skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Enthusiastic, self-motivated, and able to work both independently and collaboratively
- Excellent judgment, attention to detail, and ability to handle sensitive and confidential information
- Work requires normal range of hearing, vision and verbal communication skills, with or without a reasonable accommodation
- The ability to perform work at a computer station for 6-8+ hours a day and function in an environment with frequent interruptions is required
This is an hourly/non-exempt position: At this time we are unable to hire hourly roles within the following areas: Alaska, California, Hawaii, Nevada, New Jersey, New York, Oregon & Rhode Island.

Salary Range
$24 / hourBenefits & Perks
This is a remote intern opportunity. The rate of pay is $22-$24 per hour and is eligible to receive an internet stipend.
