Learning Technology Specialist

We are seeking a forward-thinking Global Learning Technology Specialist to help create and deploy best-in-class learning at Allegion. As a member of the Global Learning Team, you will collaborate with key stakeholders to create user-generated content and advise on best practices for learning design, evaluate technical feasibility, and create learning experiences utilizing technology. This role supports the Global Technology Technologist, who oversees the LMS, and will assist with audit compliance, learning design and creation in the LMS, reporting, and vendor relationships. With a strong focus on the learner experience, attention to detail and an eye for excellent design, this role moves quickly with a high degree of ownership. There aren't constraints regarding how things have been done before as innovation is key to success. This role reports to the Senior Director, Global Learning and Talent Development.

What You Will Do:

Content Creation & Business Support

  • Support SME led content development by providing rapid authoring tools and tips for engaging learners

  • Advise on technical solutions for learning including best practices for e-learning

  • Support learning evaluation set up in the LMS

  • Support learning requests requiring customized learning/external support by collaborating with stakeholders and contract workers, where needed

Learning Management System

  • Provide support for user generated content in the LMS by identifying and training SMEs as Channel owners/superuser

  • Assist Learning Technologist with maintaining and auditing user structure, governance, and global content standards

  • Audit system notifications and enrollments to ensure onboarding and regulatory standards are met, globally

  • Support report requests for stakeholder, identifying efficiency opportunities to scale the work

  • Oversee and support the channel, page, and catalog structure in the LMS, working with the Technologist on recommendations for standards and user support.

Vendor Support

  • Maintain relationships with key vendors to stay up to date on technology enhancements and offerings

  • Collaborate with Learning Business Partner, sharing learning content to feature for the global audience, leveraging the LinkedIn learning partnership and SME created content

Data and Analytics

  • Assist with analyzing data and recommending solutions to deliver, track training and measure performance to meet organizational objectives, using the LMS.

  • Tracks usage of tools and the learning management system features to provide reports on trends and creates and collaborates with Technologist on recommendations.

  • Develops and updates standardized tools and reporting for ongoing access to learning information; generates standard and custom reports.

  • Manages tracking of course revisions and history.

  • Provides timely data for reporting and audit requirements.

What You Need to Succeed:

  • Bachelor’s degree; min 3 years’ experience working in Learning and Development/Training

  • Experience with course design and development

  • Technical skills including troubleshooting, social learning trends, and database management; ability to gain new technical skills quickly

  • Ability to collaborate with others at all levels of the organization as well as vendors

  • Proven ability to manage projects including planning work, managing details, keeping multiple tasks/projects on track, delivering results, and proactively communicating updates to stakeholders

  • Customer service skills, responsive attitude; strong oral and written communication skills

  • Coursework /certifications relating to LMS Administration/Instructional Design preferred

  • Proficiency with analytics software such as Excel and Power BI preferred

  • Experience working with a global organization with multiple languages preferred

Compensation: This range is provided by Allegion. Your actual pay will be based on your skills and experience.

  • The expected Base Salary Range: $65,900 - $116,600. The actual compensation will be determined based on experience and other factors permitted by law.
