Join our team and make a positive impact on the lives of others! We are looking for a Learning Experience Designer (LXD) for our Learning & Talent Development (L&TD) team. Must be willing to travel: This role is remote-first and requires occasional travel to FreedomCare & affiliate locations domestic or international when necessary.

The Learning Experience Designer is responsible for creating engaging, effective, and innovative learning experiences. This role involves designing and developing comprehensive learning solutions, incorporating multimedia elements to enhance the learning experience. The Learning Experience Designer will work closely with stakeholders to identify learning needs and create solutions that drive behavior change and support organizational goals.

Key responsibilities:

  • Partner with stakeholders and SMEs to identify learning objectives, gather requirements, define outcomes, and establish success metrics.
  • Conduct needs analysis to ensure training addresses business requirements.
  • Design (remote/live/blended/async) training solutions that meet business requirements and support adoption post-launch, considering ways to rapidly develop training to meet deadlines.
  • Develop informative, visually appealing, and engaging training assets, including courses, infographics, videos, tech click-throughs, job aids, practice activities, live presentations, multi-day curriculums, workshops, facilitator guides, and assessments.
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of training to identify areas of improvement during and after launch using the appropriate Kirkpatrick Levels for evaluation and reporting mechanisms.
  • Create, maintain, update, and keep inventory of learning assets that support the retention, transfer, and application of knowledge and skills specific to roles, performance, culture, and outcomes.
  • Build relationships with key stakeholders and solicit feedback on all training programs and materials to understand response and effectiveness. 
  • Work with leaders and the Learning & Talent Development team to meet training delivery schedules with appropriate resourcing that meets business needs.
  • Continuously update personal knowledge and training content to reflect new industry trends and business opportunities utilizing the latest in training effectiveness tools and adult learning principles.

Ideal Candidate Will Possess:

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field such as Instructional Design, Education, Communications, or Human Resources. Equivalent professional experience is also acceptable. 
  • Minimum of three years in a learning experience design role or similar.
  • Experience with developing both virtual and in-person training.
  • Experience in the education, communications, or HR fields; healthcare industry experience is highly desirable.
  • Strong recent experience in multi-day curriculum development, e-learning development, and multimedia content creation.
  • Experience creating multimedia training materials such as e-modules, presentations, videos, and job aids.
  • Familiarity with Learning Management Systems and remote training solutions.

Technical Skills

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, SharePoint, Teams). 
  • Experience with e-learning development tools (e.g., Articulate Rise, Storyline, Vyond, Camtasia, and Adobe Creative Suite). 
  • Experience with multimedia development in audio and video. 
  • Telephonic customer-service experience, particularly in healthcare administration.
  • CRM (Salesforce) experience is highly desired.
  • SCORM and xAPI authoring and data analysis skills.
  • Experience with AI/Machine Learning and program integration is highly desired.
  • Virtual Training delivery platforms (LMS, Learning Experience Platform, third-party sources, etc.)

Competencies 

  • Advanced knowledge and skills in adult learning and e-learning principles, with an ability to stay updated on emerging trends. 
  • Strong project management skills, adaptability, flexibility, and prioritization skills within a fastpaced, dynamic environment.
  • Ability to apply adult learning theories effectively and tailor learning solutions to optimize trainee performance.
  • Seeks feedback and uses data to revise iterative project work.

At FreedomCare, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides our employees with the opportunity to professionally grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $70,000 and $80,000 per year at the commencement of your first year of employment. Compensation decisions are dependent upon a variety of factors which may include, but are not limited to: skill set, years of relevant experience, education, location, and licensure/certifications.
