Position Overview:

The Learning and Development Specialist develops, executes, and administers programs and tools to support the ongoing learning and development of RQIP team members. 

Position Holder is Accountable For:

  • Leads the development and deployment of all employee learning programs. 
  • Collaborates with cross-functional SMEs to develop and deliver training and education for organizational knowledge.  
  • Acts as a centralized resource, providing advisement and recommendation to meet employee development needs. Maintains a catalog of external resources and vendors that may be utilized for employee development. 
  • Acts as the primary LMS administrator, ensuring that the selected tool continues to meet company needs, as well as user management, assignment creation, and reporting.  
  • Evaluates the effectiveness of all courses on an ongoing basis to ensure they are current and that the objectives and goals of leadership are being met.
  • Partners with the executive leadership team and human resources to develop a leadership development program to strengthen leadership skills of existing leaders and prepare potential internal candidates for future leadership positions.

Required Skills and Competencies:

  • Bachelor’s degree in related field, Masters preferred. 
  • At least 5 years of experience in a learning & development, training or related role.
  • Learning & Development certification such as CPLP/CPTD preferred
  • A high degree of knowledge around best practices for training including adult learning principles.
  • Proficiency in the use of eLearning authoring tools (i.e. Articulate, Lectora, Adapt) preferred
  • Exhibits excellent organizational skills and self-motivation while working independently and in a team setting
  • Communicates clearly and professionally at multiple levels and with diverse audiences
