Position Summary
The Lead Workday HRIS Analyst focuses on configuring, managing, and optimizing Workday modules, including Integrations, Reporting, HCM, Absence/Time Off, and Payroll. The candidate will collaborate across the organization to enhance systems, document requirements, train users, and manage projects of all sizes, ensuring Workday meets evolving business needs while maintaining data integrity and efficiency. Additionally, the position will play a critical role in helping shape our People Analytics insights, dashboards, and reporting.
Responsibilities
Workday Configuration & Optimization
- Configure and maintain Workday modules, ensuring optimal performance and alignment with business needs.
- Develop and enhance Workday integrations with other internal and external systems.
- Create, modify, and maintain reports and dashboards to support HR and business operations.
- Ensure system compliance and data integrity through audits and best practices.
Collaboration & Training
- Work closely with HR, Payroll, Finance, IT, and other partners to gather requirements and implement system solutions.
- Train HR and business users on Workday functionality, updates, and best practices.
- Mentor and develop HRIS team members by providing training and guidance on Workday configuration best practices
- Act as a subject matter expert, providing guidance and recommendations on system capabilities.
Project Management & Process Improvement
- Lead and manage projects related to system enhancements, upgrades, and new implementations.
- Develop and maintain project plans, timelines, and deliverables.
- Identify opportunities to streamline processes through automation and system improvements.
- Ensure timely and effective execution of system changes and updates.
Documentation & Compliance
- Maintain detailed documentation of system configurations, business processes, and user guides.
- Ensure compliance with data security policies and regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate with HR and IT teams to monitor system access and security settings.

Education and Skills Required
Education:- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Information Systems, Business Administration, or related field (required).
- Master’s degree in human resources, Business, or related field (preferred).
Experience:
- Minimum 8-10 years of experience working with Workday, including configuration and administration.
- Workday Pro Certification in one or more of the modules listed (HCM Core, Integrations, HCM Reporting, Payroll US or CAN, or Absence Management).
Travel Requirements
- Role can be up to 100% remote. Candidate must be located within the US and we prefer being based in Minnesota, Wisconsin, Illinois, or Michigan. Must be able to attend in person meetings when requested.
- Travel anticipated approximately 5%
Pay Range
- $120,000-$145,000
